Ali Sethi already has a lot of beautiful songs that you should listen to. Ranjish hi Sahi from Ahmed Faraz (Ali Sethi) is also a beautiful ghazal. And yes, Faiz is eternal. We'll never get another Faiz or Iqbal ... ever.
P.S. The background vocalists in this song are so underrated. But that beautifully-pitched harmony made this song so much more emotive and full of feelings!

OMG! Ali Sethi AND Faiz Saahib’s most amazing kalaam! I would hear this on repeat when this was first released. Many criticized Ali’s version as the original masterpiece was by Mehdi Hassan...and as you rightly said his rendition was beyond comparison. But Mr Sethi just gives it his 100% and transports us to a different world! I too am in awe of Ali Sethi, Jojo! He’s just too brilliant for words! Attended his live concert and was blown away by his talent, his voice, his energy, his intelligence (he’s a Harvard graduate, no less) and his fantastic sense of humour! Thank you SO much for reacting to this one, girls. You just made my day! ❤️

I first heard this song in the film..haider sung by Arijit singh. I didn't even know that ali sethi too sung this song. Usually i don't compare but i think ali sethi is just a little good than arijit. And thats very huge compliment i guess. 😊

Ali Sethi is one of the few modern-day singers left in our country with this much versatility in his voice.. iss larkay se koi bhi genre gawa lo, disappoint nahi kerta :) by the way, did you guys react on Khaki Banda - Coke Studio? I’m no way a typical TH-cam person and never have I ever commented on anything but TH-cam algorithms act in weird ways I actually somehow came across your reactions a while ago and since then I’ve been watching your videos after I watched this one I actually wanted to say there are lots of other reaction channels I suppose but what I think is difference that one has to know and understand they lyrics and that too when you are reacting to songs like this where lyrics aren’t just typical lyrics from movies but they are penned down by people who transcend generations and languages and what not . Glad you are doing this .

Absolutely amazing, timeless poetry it defines humen emotions so profoundly that when u go deeper with the meanings u just Awww sturked. It always happened with me whenever I read Faiz Ahmad Faiz or Ahmad Faraz, Amjad Islam Amjad or above all Allama Iqbal . It makes u wonder how they all able to compile all these emotions in 2 line versus. Lovely reaction. Plz react to another masterpiece & so underrated song of coke studios session 11 Shikwa by zaib Bungush & Abu Fareed Nawaz .it will take u to another 🌎 & energy of Iqbal's kalam is ufff.

Nothing and no one beats the greatest ghazal singer Mehdi Hasan. Sethi was out of breath and couldn't carry the note. Saw him live singing another Mehdi Hasan classic Ranjish hi sahi and homeboy had to catch his breath multiple times.
and do u think he's trying to beat him? or in anyway thinks that he is as great as Mehdi Hasan Khan ? he's respectfully playing tribute to one of his favorites and trying his best and singing in his own way. -.-

This was a great interpretation by Ali sethi. I urge folks not to compare to mehdi hasan and then you’ll enjoy this interpretation. Some folks had reservations about all the harkats but I think we have to realize this is by a rising star who is in the early mastery phase and wants to sing with passion and showcase all that he can do (which is what he should do) . I loved it .
