I am obsesseddddd with Happy Death Day, it is so unique in K-pop and just soo up my alley in terms of style like it was so shocking to hear to begin with but I've literally been listening to it on repeat ever since - 100% one of my favourite and one of the most unique debuts this year
i’ve never fell in love with a group this fast- but as soon as they debuted, i knew i had to stan xdinary heroes
That line in Zuho said in SF9’s music video is actually a reference to there Kingdom “Move” performance where he said that line and EVERYONE WAS SHOOK LOL

It's the way Xdinary Heroes debuted with THIS particular song a day after my birthday. Lmao alright😭😂
I don't listen to a lot of kbands, but the ones I do tend to lean more towards the softer side which is fine, but THIS is what I'm into and I've been waiting for this kind of sound.

SF9 has a performance video for Trauma and with that video you see the dance a little better and chairs it's sexy as hell. I love this album, the songs. SF9 are encompassed love, beauty, desire, sex, fertility, prosperity, and victory. I have listen to Trauma over and over again, I have the song on repeat. I have been listen too ONF song Goosebumps before 5 of the members leave for the military, they have a great comeback.
I like Cignature's new song and the new members sound great. I just hope that things behind the scenes are ok. Line-up changes so early in a group's career can be a warning sign.

I know K-pop since 2011 and I like it in many groups, but there is something different about sf9.

It always feels so exciting waiting for an SF9 comeback and this being the actual first one after Kingdom (Teardrop and its album were completed a few months before Kingdom aired but it got pushed back), they went hard. And the mini album for this one is definitely one of their best! So excited for you to listen to it~
When I first saw the video to Xdinary Heroes I also only had one coherent thought.
"This is genz rock"
The sarcarsm that permeates the entire video, that existential dread depicted in a very genz kinda way. I just love it. This is exactly the kind of music I have always been waiting for, as a genz myself. And I was, no, I still am overwhelmed by the song and video. I just love everything about it.

The path that Xdinary Heroes goes with their music reminds me a lot of N.Flying's indie to rookie days.
There are quite a lot b-side songs with similar vibe as Happy Death Day in their early discography.
I know this is super late but here's the Ghost9 deal: the two members who left are Dongjun and Taeseung. Dongjun was the main vocal (the one who did all the Mariah Carey notes) and Taeseung was a vocalist and dancer (some of the lines you've liked a lot in previous reactions were his), and also the tallest member. The parting seems to be amicable, although Maroo obviously tried to get them to stay. The current members are Junhyung - leader/main vocal, chained to a chair; Shin - main dancer and eldest, long blonde/pink hair; Kangsung - rapper, chained to the ceiling; Junseong - vocalist/dancer, being emotional on top of a car; Prince - from Thailand, dancer and vocalist but with not many lines, holding the candle; Woojin - deep-voiced rapper, visual, looking in the mirror; Jinwoo - vocalist and dancer, maknae (the child is only now 17 international age), fell on the ground poor baby 🥺
I just saw them in Boston on their USA tour (so proud!) and the line redistribution was really interesting to see and they all did amazing taking over their new parts. Having watched almost all of their online content, I would say that beloved as Dongjun and Taeseung have been by the members and the fans, I can see that they might be happier out of the spotlight, at least for a while. The current members seemed to be thriving on tour, even though I'm sure it was also a stressful situation. I hope we will have Ghost9 around for a long time because they are so talented and amazing entertainers 🥰 ok I'm done now 🙂
Asa long time fan os SF9 i can clearly understand that there could be some tracks that we might not like but seriously I didn't found anyone who didn't like this track it so groovy I really liked it a lot alot
I can't even begin to say how much I love Cignature's Boyfriend! I am so incredibly proud and happy that after all this time and struggles they have gone through, especially with losing Sunn and YeAh, that they were able to put out something so unique and so special. It's a very simple song, but also has such emotion to it, and I think a lot of that is credit to the girls and how they were able to convey those emotions with their singing. I'd absolutely love it if you were able to get to an album listen for them, it's a very good album. I know how much you else you're working on though, so I definitely understand if you cant. I have a feeling you'll really enjoy it, even if you just listen to it on your free time. Also, as someone that lost my group bias as well when Sunn left, I am fully on board as a Chaesol fan. She's incredible, gorgeous, and super talented!
I'm also so happy you enjoyed Ghost9 as well. They are one of my favorite boy groups and they constantly put out amazing music. I'll definitely be looking forward to your album reaction for that.

Apparently that ascending piano line in "Control" is quoting the motif from Schubert's "Erlking", a classical piece of music. And what I find amazing is how that classical music allusion permeates throughout pretty much all aspects of the song - the lyrics constantly mention "maestro", "symphony", "masterpiece", etc.; the music itself uses a lot of acoustic instruments like piano, and directly quotes the "Erlking" motif; some of the choreo incorporates conductor's movements; and in the MV, which seems the loosely connected, it actually reminds me of the story of the "Erlking" itself, where a father races home on horseback with his son to escape the Erlking, who eventually whisks his son away from this mortal realm, whereas the MV begins with the members running away, and it seems they're eventually caught by the masked figure :o

And apparently it's a confirmed inspiration bc they had a video teaching the point choreo and one of the dances is called the Erlking dance ;o
Sf9 always serve, they are really doing a good job at keeping their distinct colors but still being diverse. Also they’ve become so mature and expensive, lol
And Xdinary Heroes are such a fun addition to the rather small circle of Kbands, so excited for their journey

At first listen, I had reservations with Happy Death Day. I liked it but didn't really love it. However, after a few listens and watching live versions, it grew on me and I've come to love the little things in their music!
Overall great debut.

you should definitely check out cignature’s mini album even if you don’t make a video with it cuz it’s just so good. my diary quite possibly bside of the year and villain sounds a bit more like their past releases if you were missing those but every song is still very Cignature and I think Chloe and dohee fit in so well
