I love this realistic peek into what it could be like to go on a road trip in an EV. I wonder what hotels or chains provide chargers, and how fast and accessible they are. Please continue to entertain us with relevant information about EV’s!

Yeah you have to use your phone Walker save select the charge point “card” so it knows to initiate the NFC with the station. I have an Ariya save learning to use non Tesla chargers was a learning curve but once I had everything all set up and have done it several tones, I don’t have many issues anymore

Great video guys! Looks like a really nice vehicle. The first charging station may have been looking for you credit card in the wallet of the phone. I'm not sure if your card was there or not. Charging is the biggest issue with EV's and this video proves that it is.

In the case of Wilmington, N.C. the ChargePoint DC Fast charger we attempted to use was the only DC unit in downtown Wilmington, so we had no other choice at the time. The issues you ran into are why i lean to a Tesla. Better charging infrastructure.
The infrastructure is improving somewhat and now that manufacturers seem to be moving towards a similar charge port that can be adapted for use at select Super Charger stations, EV owners have more options.
