You always inspire me, but this one is ethereal and so beautiful. I so enjoy watching and learning. I only paint backdrops for a large model train club, so I have to shrink all your lessons down by 1/87th!
I was asked by my best friends mom... @ his birthday party recently. (He's a New Year's baby... ) I gave him a painting that i did off of one of your DVD's from your website.. His mom, (the most precious woman you've ever met, had literally, just had a series of strokes. Period. That's all. That's straight up truth.) She asked me to paint her a picture... I would LOVE to paint this picture for her. She talks about her childhood... and where she grew up... she describes it like it's Heaven. This is alot like a picture she showed me in B/W, but overexposed, and many years old. Please, quickly, put this out as a tutorial... I'm ready to paint it right now. I'll do the download... I'll paint this for her.. I'll do my damn best!
Kevin I have a question, have you ever heard of sanding your canvas to make it a more smooth surface to paint on? Is that okay to do? Have you ever done that or known of a painter to do that? Also one more question, What type of canvas do you suggest to get if you want to paint on a very smooth surface?
