Many many thanks for posting this treasure. I am from galway city and I was working in a restaurant at Heidelberg Castle gates in 1976. I went to see them every chance I got. Tony Small was a friend from the cellar bar days in galway before I went to Heidelberg they played a lot at Morans and the town hall in the altstadt and were regular Buskers all over town. I would go to see them every chance I got. ..Around that time Gerry Carty a great banjo player from castlebar in mayo who also lived in galway city and played sessions in the cellar and salthill came to Heidelberg . jack mackerry ...... hi Jack , I knew the band way back in London and had many a session with them back at my place. My friend was going out with Steve Power at the time and she was with them when they first toured Germany. We lost touch with Steve somewhere along the line although he regularly dropped in on us in Ladbroke Grove for years . If you have any information about his whereabouts we'd be really grateful as we have many times wondered why he suddenly disappeared off the scene. Contact me on janethomasingreece@gmail.com . I do not remember the exact year, but it was a summer concert in a park in Rome, maybe 1979, I was with some friends. After the great concert, we met the group, we got acquainted, few beers later we invited them to visit Piazza Navona, where we stayed, drinking singing and dancing until morning. Ciao Manlio
saw them several times at Schloßkeller, Darmstadt way back in the 70s! Those were the amazing folky days 🙂
