As an engineer with a lot of training in science, I was always torn about the evidence. Books such as Detective Wallace’s Cold Case Christianity and Person of Interest have settled the historical issues for me. On the science side, I recommend Reasonable Faith, by Craig, and Return of the God Hypothesis, by Meyers.
I believe you hit the nail on the head, Jim. If we don't read the Bible we are missing out on the most important knowledge available to live by, thank you !
I finished this book a couple of weeks ago. What a great resource it is! J. Warner Wallace provides you with copious notes and references to support his claims. It is an interesting approach to apologetics that can be used in many ways with any skeptic.
Always very interesting conversation when it comes to J. Warner Wallace! I look forward to hearing more, although I am already a believer and Jesus is my Lord and Savior❤ God bless 🙏
There will always be skeptics and unbelievers regardless of the evidence. I have been involved in situations where events were recorded either on film or digitally, yet were adamantly denied as being possible by some viewers even though they are seen to be a part of what was recorded.
King David was the messiah born in Bethlehem, not Jesus. David’s reign over Judah is dated at c. 1010 to 1002 B.C., while that over Israel is c. 1002 to 970 B.C. David was the youngest son of Jesse and spent most of his early years as a shepherd. He was born in the land of Judah, in Bethlehem.
I do too! I just don’t trust “scientists” with presuppositions and needing certain results to get another grant to pay the bills. Like the scientists that said Covid came from a bat when we know it was man made in a lab. They’re protecting their financial interests and towing the party line
Mmm. Im gonna say that historians are better than crime scene investigators at determining what events likely occurred in the past. And pretty much all of them do not consider Jesus resurrection too be an historical event
Where does the Old Testament mention the Messiah? The biblical Old Testament never speaks of an eschatological messiah, and even the “messianic” passages that contain prophecies of a future golden age under an ideal king never use the term messiah. What are 2 beliefs about the messianic age? In the Messianic Age, Jews will triumph over the enemies of Israel leading to the destruction of weapons and people living in peace. Humans can bring on the Messianic Age by joining together to create a better world. The Messianic Age will not bring about conflict, but peace and understanding between all people.
Proof and whether or not You believe it is "proof" is subjective to the individual. It doesn't seem like the religious or their gods realize this fact. And this guy was supposed to be a detective?
If jesus is so real...people praying for help would not lend up taking their own lives.. where is his mercy n love..his promises doesnt seem to hold water
Should be interesting, let's see. Okay, so where's the proof, and how do those 15 things make god more credible? That just shows that this god evolved from previous god's or characters and kept many of their attributes. And we don't even know he has these 15 traits, those traits are just from scripture, not recorded by scientific experiments that are peer reviewed. He hasn't even been shown to exist yet so why start with these 15 traits? Pretty lame.
People who saw Jesus and knew Him documented things that he said and did. These documents were collected and published in a Book called "The Holy Bible". To discount something in the Bible until it is validated outside the Bible, is illogical and absurd. Even so, MANY records in the Old Testament were met with skepticism until archeologists discovered proof. The Old Testament records were correct and more complete than other {later) known records. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John knew Jesus well. They made a written record describing what Jesus said and did. Their records were published in a book called "The Holy Bible". To invalidate their records because their documents were published and distributed is absurd. The records can't be trusted until records are found outside of the published Bible? What if THOSE records had been found and included in the Bible, as well? --- does that diminish their credibility??? It is absurd to say that the records in the Bible, written by those who knew Jesus, are discredited because they are in the Bible???? The Bible IS a collection of those records. To say that historical records (in the Bible) aren't credible until affirmed by outside historical records ---- is absurdly illogical.
How can you believe anything happened in history if you reject eye witness accounts which is what you are doing when you refuse to believe the Bible books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
@@lauralucante6787 Many things are recorded in history which do happen in reality, whether or not the specific events happened as recorded. When we talk about religion though, we are talking about MAGIC, which doesn't exist. It literally does not matter if a BILLION people say they saw a resurrection, or some miracle like the sun moving the opposite way, etc... They are obviously wrong.

Wallace is a horrible apologist with horrible "evidence". You guys are not thinking critically AT ALL when you readily accept what he says. You're doing it becuase you "need" to believe. Religon has made you ignore the issues so you can keep believing.
@@_BillyMandalay I’m not emotionally attached to non belief. I’m emotionally attached to believing things that are true. What evidence you got for supernatural events 2000+ years ago?
The fact that you simply dismiss him (going for an ad hominem attack here, are we?) and his evidence as "horrible" without even providing any counter evidence or reasonable explanation why that is so, likewise demonstrates a lack of critical thinking. You're just rejecting everything he says on the get go because you don't want to believe.

I believe Jesus is real and He is my Savior .
Yes sir 😊
I do too. : ]

That was spot on about jury selection. It says in the New Testament to find the person of peace.
Thank you, great video.
Excellent 🇬🇧💗

also jesus is the evil.
I find the sermon on the mount easy to understand, but impossible to live,as we are human beings who make mistakes every day.
Interesting thought about Jury selection ☺️

"Made a commitment" hmm... pretty sure Paul and John were clear we receive the promise of eternal life by faith alone.
What are the 15 broad strokes?????
There is not objective true? In general or only in this specific case?
Who knows the Thomas Story? There you see the way we have to go together. J is real
And when John the Baptist in the dungeon had questions, Jesus' answer to him was that he consider the observable evidence.
How about the “miracle of the sun” Fatima Portugal, Oct 13 1917???? Why are more people talking about that ??
LOL right....

Why was our calendar AD and BC then? Centered around Jesus? Anno Domini ', a Latin term which means 'Year of Our Lord' in English.
