The thigh inquisitor and the aftermath and the scarecrow and undead crocodile fighting over the thigh inquisitor had me weak. You goofy goobers.
It was inevitable
God, I love this series! Nikki clearly did her research on the phenomenon of real witch-hunts and the psychology and sociology surrounding them, and it shows!
This one is special, I love it. I can’t stop watching.
She even sprinkled in some historical surnames. A tiny touch but I love it!
The Party going to sleep: And nothing can go wrong
They wake up: Oh no! It all went wrong!
As each episode passes, the more attached I get to the bag, it is such a good little boy.
"as much as it pains me to admit it, Briggsy has a point" That's Marius's and Briggsy's dynamic in a nutshell
"The on;y footprints that have been here are hers, the one hundred handprints from that horrible centipede creature, and your own" how reassuring.
31:59 The brief silence before Mace just exploded was priceless.
Everyone did such a banger of a job creating very clear and complex and realistic views of this situation from all their character’s perspectives. The arguing of who is at fault and who’s a victim and if the victims should still face some sort of punishment by virtue of the fact they did hurt people, regardless of why. Someone said above that it was clear Nikkie did her research with witch hunts and I agree one thousand percent. And everyone else played along so fantastically into the complexity of that kind of mob panic and religious zealotry
Between the thigh inquistor and the king of hearts from OUAW, Nikki has got to stop describing NPCs as "incredibly hot" because it turns up the shenaigans by tenfold
To true to true
I blame Nikkie for my taste in woman (and men kinda)
We're here for the entire thing is when Jericho goes oh you think
We must protect Jericho's smile!
7:25
Nikkie: Because women need fucking pockets!
Me: AMEN 😤
The more I hear about this happy little family, the more terror that builds in my heart. Oh no. Oh no. Don't kill them.
i love how jolly the cast look in the thumbnails they do for these episodes despite the horrors they face in this campaign
The centepide's name is dirty bertie
Nah that'll be the pigeon
(Late buuuuuut) Nasty Patty
@switchtan277 that could be the centipede's name while dirty bertie is the pigeon's name.
"And he's a thief" got me so good 😂😂😂
"I got vuvuzelas" is such an underrated line 😂
24:44 "Mikey shut up" I love it, they have a great group chemistry
Man, the whole group had the Sillies this session! All of their combined shenanigans almost made Mikey look like the straight man LOL
As soon as I heard the thing about confessing and saying there were others, I said out loud “holy sh*t, it’s the Salem witch trials. They caused the Salem witch trials. She wrote the Salem with trials into the campaign!”
OOOOH, when she listed the names of the accused, I remembered The Crucible! We covered that in class last year!
Loving the character dynamic
Anyone else notice a few familiar names in the accused "witches"? I'm no expert on historical witch hunts, but Nikkie said the name Rebecca Putnam, which I think is easily a reference to the famous Salem trials at least. (Rebecca Nurse being a convicted witch and Ann Putnam being a primary accuser)
Also major Claude Frollo vibes from the Archbishop. Screw that guy.
You can see in real time as Nikkie gaslights Kelsey to doubt herself enough to simmer in rage but not force the party’s hand for the whole session and then leave her just absolutely furious when the rug is pulled out from under her
1:39:10 girl! no! why are Farryn and Yorgrim the only ones that care about that poor woman 😭
The entire witch trial scenes? Chills. Goodness...
2:06:08 yas queen, get him Farryn!
52:33 that’s literally why I thought the graves were in the west lol
Not sure if it's a Marius thing or if Andy just doesn't see what they mean, but clearly you can't judge the puppet guilty of the puppet master's actions...
Marius is a lawful good/neutral character, so that’s probably where it comes from
Marius blames himself and judges himself for being manipulated, so it makes some sense why he also blames others who are manipulated. He's also a holy man that believes he is a very special case, but he's not conscious of that cognitive distortion, and so he doesn't apply it to others.
These explanations work well together.
The twist at the end being the fact that there is no twist was so good! Damn!
So how long until the party realizes they have a bagman as a companion and how MUCH longer until Nikki makes him turn on the party😂
As a witch lover myself I must applaud Nikkies explanation of the witch hunt in the city. Not only literally witch hunting but the phenomenon of witch hunts. I adore the detail of the main women being accused deciding to take down half of the village that accused her like many men and woman used to do during the Salem witch trials and other places of witch trials. The details of a god fearing religion makes it even more fascinating and very similar to the witch trials. Even the mention of witch marks and descriptions of people wanting money and power when convicting others is amazing! So much research!!!
32:00 ish mace's laugh gives me life
2:03:03 is probably the funniest fucking moment in this series, maybe ever.
I’m so confused as to what’s happening 😅
@@beckyfalDerek meant to say Pholtus, the god the bishop worships, but instead said Forgus, which is a character from another LoA campaign. Chaos ensues.
@@omgitsakittehh thank you!!
The complete breakdown and everyone making Forgus impressions almost took me out. 😂
20:25 my theory is this lady was trying to make a cure for the sickness that her husband came down with
Theory 2 1:41:46 it’s all illness caused by mold and the witches are irrelevant/gone crazy because of the mold
Mold and certain mushrooms.. I think it can cause seizures
2:29:04 rest in peace noodle we love you 🤍
This was an fantastic session. I am so intrigued
Dirty Jenkins sounds like a Dirty Sanchez or whatever.
I expected that kid to walk out of the ally with a really deep voice and say “she’s mine”
20:20 - drinking with noses, sneezing with butts, and lapping up sound waves with ears. I cry-laughed through this entire exchange. Thursday goofies indeed!
1:38:54 well at least the corpses were dead. Would have been mighty uncomfortable if they werent.
the trial was like "i saw her at the devils sacrament!!!”
girl... what were YOU doing at the devils sacrament??
That bag is just the creepiest
That campaign is my favorite thing to listen to while drawing
another reason i could never dm is i wouldn't be able to keep myself from insisting they at least try to talk to her, instead of just assuming what her response would be based on the word of the abbott who they don't even trust
They also kept treating her as if she spoke. She never did.
On to Chapter 7 😎
15:08 Oooof poor woman
20:19 Drink with my nose 😂
24:40 Lol Mikey's reaction and Nikkie's immediate response
28:59 "I waddle into the cottage." < that's such a cute image
31:38 😂
44:13 Dang it Nikkie! 😂😂
51:35 such a chaotic episode 😆
1:02:17 Jericho 😂
1:03:28 Yeah I'm with Farryn on this one, at least hear the woman out before you bring her to the suspicious archbishop
1:06:06 I'm loving Briggsy as a character so much "And look, what I'm gonna say is no trial's fair. No judge is truly just. This isn't our land, it's his. This isn't our people that are affected, it's his people. It's the people of this land. Philip told us to come and help that guy. That guy told us to come out here, find some kinda witch and bring her back to him. That's what we do and that's the job. And we're not the judge, he is."
1:06:56 Oh my gosh Marius 🙄
1:08:27
1:11:53 New character? 👀
The amount fcking hubris the High Inquisitor exhibits in thinking she's the only one to be the 'right choice' to question "Mother Midnight" is laughable, and it's funny how the archbishop, the guards, and the inquisitor are all so confident that Keziah Jenkins is Mother Midnight. A witch with so much power wouldn't go down that easily. LOL. They just want someone to put the blame on.
1:24:11 LOL Jericho 😂gottem
1:27:17 Skinny Dudley
1:37:00 Mace 😂"I got ear tongues" 😂
1:38:14 I wish the party thought of this possibility before handing over Keziah to ol' Hugo 😥. It's already clear that the people are all out for blood, eager to blame anything and anyone suspicious just to either calm their nerves or satisfy their bloodlust due to their situation. And I'm betting the trial is a complete sham, there is no justice, just execution.
1:38:30 Briggsy 😂😂
1:42:26 Great point Lethica 👀
1:43:30 oooooo pigeon spies, but whose are they? The archbishop's? The Inquisitor's? The witch's? 👀
1:45:16 Tsk tsk Marius. Ah all of us face our temptations
1:47:46 I reacted the same way as Andy did 😂"probably not any longer 😬"
1:52:08 Don't worry Yorgrim your buddy Briggsy is here to help ya 😂
1:52:45 Liiiiiieeees, there was no confession, they just want the poor woman dead 1:56:21 Thank you 👏 Finally👏
2:00:17 Gosh darn it Briggsy 😆
2:10:42 Marius struggles to keep the High Inquisitor from his mind while Briggsy just clonks out LMAO
2:19:05 I'm cackling, Briggsy's such on opportunist, great acting for this character gaddamn
2:33:17 😂😂
2:34:09 oh dear goodness
Something I just realised on my 5th rewatch: why was Skinny Dudley cleaning Kaziahs house if its so small and she's not rich? He said he cleans the big houses of the rich folk of the city 👀👀👀
Did he say he still cleans small houses? If they can afford it? Maybe she could afford it. I might be stretching it. He could be like a proxy? Or like a right hand man? It could be possible. Man the theory’s 😨 I’m like Matpat but not as good lol
The DM did say that she is the sister of the arch bishop and so has extra money and benefits
@@monochroma4753 Mrs mirabelle is the sister of the Archbishop, kaziah is the poor lady who's husband died and was accused of witchcraft in town
@@BabaYagasChickenToes oof sorry didn't read the full comment and thought you were talking about Ms. Mirabelle. Yeah that is weird
Waiting on Mace's "Quest of the Wicked West"
That High Inquisitor was incredibly well done. Such a haughty and arrogant character. Utterly dislikable.
They could have looked at the height of the skeletons to at least determine if they were all male. Idk if you can assume that the knights were all male in DnD, but I would assume they were.
I would want to know if they are adults or children
It's not said but I think the idea is, since they weren't buried in coffins, the bones were squattered, so it would be hard to reconstruct a full. Squellington
Why hasn't anyone clipped the "I Butt Sneeze"? 20:38
i began shipping lethica and marius this episode
Wasn’t Putnam an actual witches name from the Salem witch trials
no it was a town where it happened. putman, connecticut and salem, connecticut
Good catch Atmos I didn't notice at first!
Ann Putnam (October 18, 1679 - 1716) was a primary accuser, at age 12, at the Salem Witch Trials of Massachusetts during the later portion of 17th-century Colonial America. Born 1679 in Salem Village, Essex County, Massachusetts Bay Colony.
@@BakilAskamrim Weren't the Putnams mentioned in The Crucible? I hadn't read it in years, correct me if I'm wrong
Okay, I'm just now watching this Ravenloft series and I'm gonna say, and I would LOVE if someone could confirm this, like Rich or Nicky or someone....why didn't someone just cast Enlarge on that bag of holding and just push the cauldron inside the bag so that you guys could take it with you?
Andy was about to start sinning
A coworker asked me why I was laughing during my shift tonight, I don't think "weasel Nipple" is an acceptable answer
"Thank you, new dad" 😭😭😭😭😭
Oh no this one came out a year ago I have no idea what you are referring to :)
watching this now after hearing the no bones comment makes me so sad :( i miss noodle so much
Im so confused on the ending, im very easily lost lol
hugo hungry~
Y'all aren't no heros I'll say that now
oh boy oh boy you have no idea
And no mistakes were made!
