I have a feeling that Mace isn't familiar enough with barbarian as he should have a roll for damage even without a weapon and should have some abilities to use other than just raging. I've never played a barbarian but my husband does now and then and he doesn't need a weapon to mess things up.

Honestly, it’s frustrating seeing how much religion, God, and fighting against evil is portrayed as a bad thing in this campaign. Especially considering how many viewers tend to blame God for the wrongdoings of people who claim to serve Him but represent Him falsely.
It’s pretty frustrating and annoying, especially with how ubiquitous it is in media. However, it appears they’re taking heavy influence from The Hunchback of Notre Dame and the irl Salem Witch Trials, which, sadly, had a lot of misguided people claiming to be godly Christians. Still, it’d be nice to seem some nuance. Like Foltice (however you spell it) is genuinely a decent deity, but the archbishop is a just a massive prick and misrepresenting his will. How ironic would it be if the orphanage mistress was a more accurate representation of a Foltice follower?
Actually, there could be a really interesting positive, maybe Christian-ish campaign to glean from this. Like, let’s say that somehow proper followers of Foltice(?) arrived and instantly knew the Archbishop was full of it, as the town was rotting long before the corruption came. They grill him on the tenants of their religion and stuff, line it up with his actions, and call him out on his failings. They could also teach the people the _real_ #OneTrueWay and possibly cause division, amongst the other stuff going on. No idea how this would fit in with The Crooked Moon campaign proper but it’d at least be *really* friggin cathartic for me because dear Lord in heaven do guys like him make me irritated, FAR more than any atheist. I guess that’s why Marius is my fave. He voices my frustrations lol. 😌
That's exactly what it's meant to be about. The problems arise when humans, being flawed, make a mess of it. I understand that religion becomes tyrannical when it is used to control rather than to honor God and other people. What i don't appreciate is when people assume or portray warped religion as the norm. The portrayal isn't fair, and it misleads people. If the issue of people practicing Christianity badly is to be discussed, it should show the good examples of Christianity and not just the bad ones.@@Cursed_Curator

Honestly, it’s frustrating seeing how much religion, God, and fighting against evil is portrayed as a bad thing in this campaign. Especially considering how many viewers tend to blame God for the wrongdoings of people who claim to serve Him but represent Him falsely.
It’s pretty frustrating and annoying, especially with how ubiquitous it is in media. However, it appears they’re taking heavy influence from The Hunchback of Notre Dame and the irl Salem Witch Trials, which, sadly, had a lot of misguided people claiming to be godly Christians. Still, it’d be nice to seem some nuance. Like Foltice (however you spell it) is genuinely a decent deity, but the archbishop is a just a massive prick and misrepresenting his will. How ironic would it be if the orphanage mistress was a more accurate representation of a Foltice follower?
Actually, there could be a really interesting positive, maybe Christian-ish campaign to glean from this.
Like, let’s say that somehow proper followers of Foltice(?) arrived and instantly knew the Archbishop was full of it, as the town was rotting long before the corruption came. They grill him on the tenants of their religion and stuff, line it up with his actions, and call him out on his failings. They could also teach the people the _real_ #OneTrueWay and possibly cause division, amongst the other stuff going on. No idea how this would fit in with The Crooked Moon campaign proper but it’d at least be *really* friggin cathartic for me because dear Lord in heaven do guys like him make me irritated, FAR more than any atheist. I guess that’s why Marius is my fave. He voices my frustrations lol. 😌

That's exactly what it's meant to be about. The problems arise when humans, being flawed, make a mess of it. I understand that religion becomes tyrannical when it is used to control rather than to honor God and other people. What i don't appreciate is when people assume or portray warped religion as the norm. The portrayal isn't fair, and it misleads people. If the issue of people practicing Christianity badly is to be discussed, it should show the good examples of Christianity and not just the bad ones.@@Cursed_Curator

I’ll admit, when people go bad, get Christianity wrong and make it about themselves rather than honoring God and other people, it becomes a terrible sort of tyranny. However, I think it is unjust and inaccurate to portray or assume that Christianity done wrong is the norm.
