I have a feeling that Mace isn't familiar enough with barbarian as he should have a roll for damage even without a weapon and should have some abilities to use other than just raging. I've never played a barbarian but my husband does now and then and he doesn't need a weapon to mess things up.

If my half-dragon Eldritch Knight had dinner with the archbishop, she’d probably see the treatment the archbishop gave Hugo and burn the archbishop. She would only heal the archbishop or stop burning him if he agreed to treat Hugo better. Or she’d be back. If my Saiyan Monk ate dinner with the archbishop, he’d challenge the archbishop to a fight after seeing the treatment of Hugo. He’d off the archbishop happily. Barely an inconvenience. Then he’d probably off anyone else who dared step forward to apprehend him. He’s not sane. My Tabaxi Artificer would probably not care what the archbishop did or said on account he’d be too busy stuffing his face. My Astral Elf sorcerer would find a way to poison the food the archbishop was eating. Prestidigitation is one hell of a spell. When the archbishop is choking she’d “help” him by “healing” him but cast inflict wounds instead. None of my characters after seeing how the archbishop treats Hugo and acts behind closed doors will be surprised. They will make sure he regrets himself.

My Astral Elf sorcerer would find a way to poison the food the archbishop was eating. Prestidigitation is one hell of a spell. When the archbishop is choking she’d “help” him by “healing” him but cast inflict wounds instead.
None of my characters after seeing how the archbishop treats Hugo and acts behind closed doors will be surprised. They will make sure he regrets himself.
