This is so beautiful- I consider the original melody by Sakamoto to be some kind of mental and spiritual comfort balm, this version further amplifies how soothing this melody is to me. ❤️
This song makes me feel as though something is turning around in my soul that will not leave - it's incredibly uncomfortable but beautiful at the same time. And 4:28 is such a perfect moment
I feel innocence and longing listening to this. When I was very little, I guess 4-5 years, I loved Chinese takeout, because my mom would order hot tea. I would listen transfixed, as my mother would carefully read the tea leaves at the bottom of my paper take out cup. Thanks for this wonderful cover.😊
oh my gosh man. I love this piece a lot already but your version on the marimba just brought it to a next level. It's sublime and your execution is wonderfull. Thank you so much for giving this beautiful gift to the World.
As if the original wasn't already beautiful enough! The marimba gives this song an entirely different 'feel' to the original, sounds more like the ending to something whereas the piano version gives me more of a feeling of momentum. Just great all round!
This is one of my all time fav songs, and seeing it played on my favorite instrument, Im totally in love!! You perform so well, and I wish I could play as well and as flowy as you. I'm truly inspired by you sir. 😌
Hello, this version of the song is so attractive. So I am a student who is practicing dance, and I want to use this version of the song for the performance Is there a recorded version of the sound quality that is better than the live version? Please. Please
ok in this song merry christmas mr lawrence which was made by ryuichi sakamoto how can you say you feel his pain? yes this song derives emotion but this is a cover lol this guy didnt make the song, if anything ryuichi mightve had pain in his heart but this guy is just making a cover lol
ahah out of people, you had to be the MacASSWHOLE, too say something, of course I know it was Mr.Sakamoto whom, composed the song; I was saying, with him playing it, it seem's that he put a lot of attention & emotions into the song!, b/c as you can see from the video, half//most of the time, his eyes is closed, he hearing the song play in his head, & letting his hands & heart be the instrument itself, I'm a deejay & pianist, so from my understand & experiences, once you get a feel of you're instrument, or what ever you play, & get so used to it, you kinda turn off you're brain & turn on heart. . & close you're eyes & be one with the sounds & instrument . . . . thats what i mean by I could feel his pain aka emotions >.>"
@@xkyogex Reinterpretation can require more emotional connection than composition, believe it or not. I would never say that a concert pianist who plays dead composers' repertoire can't have pure, raw expressive experiences as they play.
