There are many forts in Samba district of Jammu Province namely Mohargarh Fort, Dhergarh Fort, Bhupnergarh fort , Samba Fort that have great historical importance . I decided to explore one and I went on a trek to Mahoregarh fort from Mansar lake. There is nothing clear about the history of Mahoregarh fort. Some says Sikander Suri visited this place in 1550 & this is built by him but some claims its origin to more ancient era. But one thing is clear that it remains for sometimes as Afghans outpost & later came under indigenous rulers. There is rani palace nearby in mid of mountains, very difficult to reach there ..same fort is there but it's hidden with forest going alone there is difficult .
I also visited the Mansar lake with my bike and my wife its a quite interesting place. But I didn't heard about this trek before. In future this is also in my bucket list.🥰
