Just stumbled upon your channel, and I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts on these books, such a variety too! I haven't read Call me by your name yet, so I can't tell if I agree with you or not, but it was definitely refreshing to hear some criticism on a book that seems so universally loved
@@marcellainthemargins I've even been considering the punishment that would be rereading it to see if I can identify everything that I dislike about it. The main thing that bothers me is that it's held up to be an essential book on most queer reading lists, but the author isn't queer, so it rubs me the wrong way.

The Bee Sting. Loved it. No one talks about how gay it was. I bought the UK edition due to the pretty cover. Best book i read last year
@@dunnadam I really liked the UK cover too, but I sprang for the US edition because I needed it for a book club!
