At least there is honesty. We know what the pit bull is for, and what it does and we know its aficionados are passive or active proponents of dog fighting. Somewhere i have a picture of me around 2 yrs old crawling around a pitbull lol...that our family had named chico...i just now turned 67 yrs old and am proud to say that I still own pit bulls, the best breed on the planet. Proud to say my house has never been robbed, never been robbed/assaulted as long as I've had a pit bull by my side😊
Sick video and love the honesty of the interviewers, I put my pitbull in obedience school when she was a pup and it was a great choice. I have had a few pits but now that I’m a lil older I wanted to make sure commands were down when I am in public with her. Pit bulls are badass for sure
I just adopted a 4 year old ABT mix. He’s been pretty good so far and very attached to me. Only have him three weeks but he’s learned to sit and just started stay. Next will be down. When on walks he goes crazy when he sees dogs or people. I watched a trainer on utube and he pointed out the difference between aggressive and reactive. My daughter came over with her two dogs. They met and had a blast playing the entire time together. Then I saw a teacher walking to her car when we were on a walk. She said he was cute even when he was crazy barking at her. I asked if she would come to him and give him a pet after explaining he wasn’t aggressive. She did and he acted perfectly. So I guess and hope this trainer is right. This boy is 4 years old but acts like a 4 month old. He isn’t even up to my knees and weighs 45 pounds. He is STRONG!! If he was 5 or 10 pounds more I don’t think I would be able to handle him. I’ve owned GS and Dobermans. My last dog was the love of my life Pit Bull/Boxer mix. He passed last October at 13 from cancer. Great friendly fun dog. After seeing this video I’m wondering if I made a mistake adopting him with knowing now he’s a fighting dog. He listens to me (most of the time) and loves to cuddle on the couch and sleeps next to me in bed. Now I’m just wondering. 😔❤️🙏🏼
My real Dad had a wonderful, super fun dog when I finally met him. I didn't know my Dad until I searched for him when I was 13 years old. I got my first Pit Bull when I was 19. She was a dark red brindle with green eyes. Very beautiful. She was also duel registered. I took her to shows where she always won 1st place! My mom fell in love with her and I was moving. I didn't want to break their special bond, so I gave her to my mom. She had rare bloodlines that were very sought after. Komazinski. We agreed to breed her 1 time, so I could have a puppy from her litter. I was there for the birth of the puppies and as soon as my dog came out, I knew he was the one. He was marked like a Boxer. White gloves and boots. White chest, a white collar and his hair was always so soft. He was the Alpha Male of his litter. I wanted to see the intelligence of a dog. So after I taught him his basic Obedience training, I started his other training. He knew the command," Hold It" and that made it easy to teach him how to answer the phone. This was in the 80's. My Grandma gave me a Concole TV. I tied a shoelace on the pull on knob and put it in his mouth and said, turn on the TV and I pulled him back. By his 3rd try, I was no longer assisting him with anything. He would just do it. Then I removed the shoelace. He would count how many fingers I held up. I could put lunch meat either on his nose or in his mouth and say hold it. Then when I said OK, he would eat it. I also taught him to get my cigarettes, non-menthol, by smell. I would hide them, then ask him to go get them. He would bring them to me and I would say, how am I supposed to smoke this and he'd go get my lighter. He would also get Dad's cigarettes that were menthol. He could clime up about 15 ft straight up a tree and he would grab onto a high branch and just hang and shake, like he did with a car tire at my house. He was such a total ham!! I really socialized him, esespecially when he was young. With small children, people in uniforms, Cat's, other dog's, everyone that I could. He really loved everyone. He had mad ❤️. We had a large pond behind our house and he loved to swim. He would go under the water and come up with a fish flopping in his mouth. Swimming is also such good exercise for them too. He was my best friend in the world! Anytime we got company, he always thought that they were there to visit him. He would go to the refrigerator and open the door and bring them a beer or a soda. Then he would just start performing all of his tricks. Pit Bull are very loving and very loyal also extremely intelligent. They are excellent with children. He used to allowed the small Children to ride on his back. All of the neighborhood Children would come to the door and ask to walk him or come in and play with him. I had a 1989 Toyota Truck Blue Force. It had all of the Chrome on it. It had a push bar on the front of it and I would have a harness on Hookman and take him to the middle school parking lot and he would pull the truck all around. After we were done, we decided to walk him around the track. He loved 3 things. The Skateboard, ball and Frisbee. They were having soccer ⚽️ practice. He usually walked were there was no tension on the leash and never pulled, until that day. Hookman saw that soccer ⚽️ ball and just about lost his mind!! He pulled really hard and ran out onto the soccer field and those poor parents were probably thinking, this Pit Bull is coming for our kid's. But, he snatched up the ball and popped it. I apologized and offered to pay for the ball and they didn't want the money, but they let him keep the ball. He was so proud of himself. He was that once in a lifetime dog, that I was so blessed to have. I still miss him. 😢
A fine video for a mighty fine breed with a long history they have been forged by. First it was a gripping/catch dog for hogs and cattle. Then, folks started using them as warring (fighting) dogs against different animals. Now, we see them in different manner of work and sports. But the essence of these dogs first and foremost is a worker. Regardless of what it is, you can bet they will give it their all and aim to please.
@@naimjacobs2372 That is true. The purpose of these dogs throughout their long history has primarily been to fight, and the fights have taken many different forms. When they caught a hog or a wayward bull, they fought to subdue the hooved creature. When they were pitted against a bear that was chained, they would fight the beast. When they were pitted against each other, they would fight. Folks call these things different names (catch work, baiting, scrapping, etc.) but they are all essentially fighting.
@@Swell_CharacterOne can argue that catching and fighting are not the same. Catch Dogs (The Old English Bulldog) are bred to bite and hold on to large game long enough for the hunter to dispatch it. Wats up with dude....he a criminal or something?😂 it's only a dog video brotha...... we ain't gonna judge u
Eating way too much more than the general masses keep being gluttonous is a sin in itself, a crime and can be considered criminal 😅
That guy was from another video. He breeds specifically for dogfighting in Los Angeles. He actually is a criminal.
Pound for pound, they are the 2nd best only to the "Original" Staffordshire Bull Terrier as far as "game" goes. Unfortunately alot of damage has been done to the "pitbull" by rampant mis-breeding. I have 2 as rescues, but they aren't my favorite breed. They aren't beginner dogs, and it's no suprise to me when someone is attacked by one. I prefer the Staffordshire and Rottweilers.
Staffordshires are the friendliest dogs I've ever come across. Maybe you're referring to the working Staffords.
How do they compare to the American Staffordshire?
What are you talking about? “When someone is attacked by one”, these dogs are bred to be human friendly, and animal aggressive. You have mutts, not apbt
😂😂😂😂😂 pound for pound…. Blah, blah, blah.
They (PIT BULLDOGS) are *THE* penultimate game dog. PERIOD.
Where clowns get this “Irish Staffordshire” crap befuddles me.
Where is Staffordshire??
Is it in Ireland? 🤭🙄
No. It’s in *ENGLAND*
The “Irish Staffy” is the Bulldog as bred in Staffordshire and it was used as a badger-baiting dog.
Learn your history.
The staffy is the lil cousin of the pitbull for a reason😂
@@Kylewilson608 the gamebred Irish Staffy is nothing to be overlooked, however. They are hard-biting, powerful little dogs. They look a lot like Pit Bulls as opposed to the KC and AKC SBTs.
I’d take one. But I’m under no illusions about what the dogs are likely capable of.
Very controversial.
We have one, trained it is the sweets dog you could have.Very loyal loving.
Alot of pit bulls and mix pit bulls in the pound in every town every state i been to sad very said if only humans had the heart and loyality a pit bull does , all dogs deserve to be respected not over bred. 🐾🐾🪽🪽🐾🐾🪽🪽🐾🐾🪽🪽🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
