I’ve heard a number of Lady Gaga’s tracks without the vocals now, and the effort put in with different vocals and harmonies is great! An indication of a truly good song structure is one that still sounds effective even without the music (and here is just one of her examples!).
VenusInTaurus I don't like the effects added to her voice, but the harmonies are REALLY well done. I like hearing her perform this with just her and a piano. It's nice.
The way she sings in paparazzi is so cute and her vocals are super angelic. Not to mention that with the way the audio is rendered and the way her vocals were mastered and how she harmonizes with herself, it all makes it super unique and the technique used here is really one of a kind, no one ever, not even gaga has really fully achieved to replicate what was done here, and that’s why paparazzi is one of the most eerie, mystical and still surprisingly managing to be pop gum-esque and mainstream music works we’ll ever get
