@garyclarke9685 think people feel awkward to do that. But it's a basic rule of thumb never trust anyone on the fone when it comes to your bank and just say you ll call them back.
@@MampsUK easily done though & you have peace of mind calling them back. I never give out personal details over the phone unless I 100% know whom I'm talking too
@garyclarke9685 yeah that's right never give personal details over the fone as it could be anyone as u know abt call spoofing they can make out they are calling locally. Indian scammers should be the easiest to suss out as their accent gives it away and they always give an English name tryin to make out they re American when they try doing an American accent but u can still tell they are indian.
Yes and then ALL the people who have had issues will be on Santander for money back, if they can’t recover the stolen money then they can’t give it back.
I wouldn't have been a victim of that or any other scam I would have immediately phoned my bank, problem solved
Santander will never call YOU!
A fool and his money are easily parted.
Spoofing is easy best thing to do is hung up and call back the number on the card or better yet go to the bank.
Agreed so simple to do so the million dollar question is why doesn't everyone do that & that way scammers would be out of business

@garyclarke9685 oh yeah definitely if they try to persuade u not to call them back u know somethings not right
Presenter says give their money back. But the couple gave it away to a stranger.
