Nice to see two of these in such wonderful condition. I built a CB-1 as a high school electronics class project in 1961, and put a lot of hours on it. I remember the hours of assembling the radio too; my first big wiring experience. The case was usually off of it, so I could quickly change crystals to go to another channel. I also put pencil marks around the tuner so I knew about what channel I was receiving on, although I know I had quite a few cross-channel conversations. While I have a much more modern 40 channel SSB unit, most of my on-air time now is on the 40 meter ham band. Thanks for sharing your find. 73. N1LJV
I've had a CB Radio since 1967. I still have one even though I have a HAM License. And I still have a License for the CB Radio though it's no longer required!
I built at least a dozen Heathkits when I was a kid, back in the 60's. They were mostly shortwave receivers plus an HW-7 QRP tranceiver. Great memories! Phil
Wow, what a find! This brings back memories. I built a Heathkit GW-22 5 channel superhet cb radio in 1965. It was my first superhet after a few successful regenerative shortwave receivers.
this radio was made in 10m, 11m, 6m, and 2m versions. the bracket on the back is not original. It appears to have a license copy on the side. Very nice. The hand mics complete the set and are almost always missing or in bad shape.
Hi Nabilphysucs, Thank you for your nice comment! I see you have posted a lot of interesting videos, but unfortunately I don't speak your language. Could you do one in English, telling about yourself and what you do? I'm sure the English speaking world would join your subscribers.

Diode bridge are ok

A blast from the past. When I was 18, I became 18W8295.
Another enjoyable, informative, well presented video. Thank you.

That is a great find and I would keep them as is also. Carl
I have a CB-1 and a GW-12. I can only get less that one watt out on both. Is this this typical? Is there a output tube swap that will boost output?
Was the transmit crystal fundamental?
Hello, is the device also available with 5 tubes, I have a device with 5?
Love your video
