  • Saag is made of leafy vegetables. It can be made through out the year, all over the world. Spinach is a power food which provides us lots of nutrients to keep our body fit specially in Winters. It is served with loads of butter / ghee with the combination of any kind of chapati (Bajra, Maize, wheat).
    Serving for 6
    Ingredients-
    Spinach (Palak)- 1 big bunch (1 kg)
    Green Gram Dal (Moong dal) - 100 Gram
    Green Chilli- 1
    Garlic cloves - 8 + 2
    Salt 1/2 tsp or as per taste
    Water - 1/2 bowl
    For tadka:
    Desi Ghee - 3 to 4 tbsp
    Cumin Seeds (Jeera)- 1 tsp
    Onion - 2 medium size
    Tomatoes-2 medium size
    Gram Flour (Besan)- 2 tbsp
    Red Chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
    Garam Masala- 1/2 tsp
    Water - 1/2 bowl + as needed to adjust consistency
    Butter or Desi Ghee for garnishing
