Destinasi wisata di bandung tuh emang banyak dan unik2. Tapi gue sebagai org yg Keluarga nya mayoritas tinggal di bandung walaupun gue tinggal di jawa tengah, kalau ke bandung tuh yg bikin males adalah jalannya sempit tapi kendaraannya banyak yg otomatis bikin macet. Belum lagi masih banyak pasar tumpah jadi tuh kurang enak dipandang gitu semrawut kurang estetik padahal keindahan alamnya tuh bagus.
We visited those two places last month. Both the crater and the tea plantations were beautiful, definitely worth a visit. Was happy about how drone friendly all those places are. Always asked first and never was a problem 👍🏻

Apa lagi destinasi wisata di dalam kota Bandung banyak sekali terletak di daerah2 yang dibangun dan diwariskan Belanda. Bayangin aja itu kota didesign buat jadi kota peristirahatan tiba2 menjelma jadi kawasan perbelanjaan dan restoran yang semua pengunjungnya dateng pakai kendaraan pribadi. Kalau mau liat dari ruas jalan di Bandung yang tergolong tidak lebar bahkan sangat kecil dan sempit (menurut saya yang orang Jakarta), saya tuh gemes banget kenapa dari dulu Bandung ga dibikin sistem transportasi umum yang mumpuni. Kota secantik Bandung tuh ga cocok buat berkendara dengan kendaraan pribadi. Ruas jalannya kecil2.

Mie Jawa ( Javanese nodle) at MBAH GITO or in MIE PELE same as in Mbah Gito they provide Javanese nodle or if you wanna try spicy meals you can try Mangut Lele mbah Karto its so spicy but delicious .so many culinary of there. You can googling .
In Jogja dont forget to explore.Gunung Kidul.so many beautiful beach and if you hungry you can try seafood in Sepanjang beach.there are seafood resto we called Kampung Lobster they have price list in the menu list. Also visit Kaliurang you can go to there explore by Jeef and visit ULEN SENTALU museum its nice museum.you can also ride Odong Odong in Alun2 Selatan in the evening.
Watching you guys go travelling to Bandung and Lembang, reminds me when I was a teenager, in the year of 90's. I always go to Bandung & Lembang, with my friends when we get bored in Jakarta. Just to release stress & refreshing our mind. It was our favorite destination to go travelling...The weather is much colder than Jakarta...especially Lembang in the mountainous area...And if you go a bit higher from Lembang, you'll get a hot spring water in Ciater...It's so excited...and the weather much colder in Ciater...You can swim or just sauna in a hot spring water...👍
Thank a lot for always flatter land of Parahyangan or Bandung 👍. But Ciater nowday already was hot also like Jakarta and also other than that more lower area than lembang. Maybe only in the night day ok agree 👍

I was born and raised in Bandung and my whole family lives in Bandung. But now I’m living in Germany. Watched your video makes me really homesick, especially with all those yummy foods. If you want to try a very traditional Sundanese food you can visit Rumah Makan Ampera or Bumbu Desa Restaurant, trust me you can find so many different types of foods in these restaurants (its like a buffet resto). for snacks you can also try Batagor, Cuanki and Mie Yamin Bakso. Or if you want to try something unique you might want to try Peuyeum (Fermented Casava). And ohhh, I agree with some of the comments to suggest you to visit Saung Angklung Udjo. It’s really worth to visit for the cultural side. Enjoy Bandung and good luck for your trips, Rhett & Claire!
Thanks for the wonderful views of Lembang. I have been there a few times but when one is using a drone, the view is so much all encompassing. The first time I would have gone was when we lived in Bandung 33 years ago for 7 months. We lived high up and there was a pathway near to our house when the vegetable farmers/sellers would walk with their produce further past our house. Also, on Sundays, locals would park in front of our house and around and would walk on that pathway further up into the hills, mountains. The hotel you stayed at looked truly lovely (excepting the mosquitoes - and spiders). I am wondering if they had any healthy food on the menu?

I’ve spent 4 years there for my undergrad. As a Bandunger (currently in the US), I must say you are correct about how pleasant Bandung can be to live. It's not perfect (traffic jams can be overwhelming) BUT I (and many others) enjoy the relatively cool, mountainous temperatures. The foods and the trendy cafes are among the best in the country. Plus the atmosphere (partly due to existence of the colonial buildings, which I love) and the vibrant youth culture makes it special. Miss my birth city now!

Bandung is actually one of the culinary destination of indonesia. Alongside with medan, Yogyakarta and makassar. Some will throw a few other cities and or areas in the mix. Tho to me personally, i think each area has its own uniqueness and taste. For example i love lombok and padang food probably most.

Claire , gado-gado and Lotek might seems like the same dish which is salad but actually 2 different thing, gado gado is blanch vegies (cooked) with aromatic peanut sauce, while Lotek is raw vegies with herbal peanut sauce it also use basil and kaffir lime juice. So the peanut sauce has limey , herbal & earthy taste compare to gado-gado which is sweet and savoury.. so in indonesia not all peanut sauce the same, even though they look the same, there's a variety of them depends on what dish it is for🙂

One of Basic spice/seasoning for Mie Aceh is Chili, so even U ask "tidak pedas", it will still spicy... because it already mix with another spice, can't separate the Chili for your order (so sorry about that... ha ha ha). Hope your stomach will more accept Spicy Food as long U stay in Indonesia, so U can try much more Indonesian Traditional Food. I always waiting your Video about Food and Eat.

The first time I would have gone was when we lived in Bandung 33 years ago for 7 months. We lived high up and there was a pathway near to our house when the vegetable farmers/sellers would walk with their produce further past our house. Also, on Sundays, locals would park in front of our house and around and would walk on that pathway further up into the hills, mountains. The hotel you stayed at looked truly lovely (excepting the mosquitoes - and spiders). I am wondering if they had any healthy food on the menu?

As a Bandunger (currently in the US), I must say you are correct about how pleasant Bandung can be to live. It's not perfect (traffic jams can be overwhelming) BUT I (and many others) enjoy the relatively cool, mountainous temperatures. The foods and the trendy cafes are among the best in the country. Plus the atmosphere (partly due to existence of the colonial buildings, which I love) and the vibrant youth culture makes it special. Miss my birth city now!

Bandung is actually one of the culinary destination of indonesia. Alongside with medan, Yogyakarta and makassar. Some will throw a few other cities and or areas in the mix. Tho to me personally, i think each area has its own uniqueness and taste. For example i love lombok and padang food probably most.

Claire , gado-gado and Lotek might seems like the same dish which is salad but actually 2 different thing, gado gado is blanch vegies (cooked) with aromatic peanut sauce, while Lotek is raw vegies with herbal peanut sauce it also use basil and kaffir lime juice. So the peanut sauce has limey , herbal & earthy taste compare to gado-gado which is sweet and savoury.. so in indonesia not all peanut sauce the same, even though they look the same, there's a variety of them depends on what dish it is for🙂

There's a beautiful Buddhist monastery not far from Imah Seniman, usually open for public but i'm not sure they already open right now during this pandemic
It looks closed from the outside, but you can still go inside actually. Almost no one is inside, and you asked to wash ur hand and put on mask throughout the time.

One of Basic spice/seasoning for Mie Aceh is Chili, so even U ask "tidak pedas", it will still spicy... because it already mix with another spice, can't separate the Chili for your order (so sorry about that... ha ha ha). Hope your stomach will more accept Spicy Food as long U stay in Indonesia, so U can try much more Indonesian Traditional Food. I always waiting your Video about Food and Eat.
I'm as an Acehnese also surprise that Mie Aceh in Bandung they put peanut sauce. Actually real mie Aceh nothing used peanuts sauce. Maybe following the local Sundanese taste
