That would be a better explanation that finding 144,000 Jews today who are not intermingled with gentiles. The virgin part may be a little tough. But if they were killed in battle before starting a family… yeah, I could see it.
Good explanation bro..btw, do u want to know Daniel prophesied answer on the book of daniel? I want to share with you, because only u made differentiation between holy ghost n holy spirit.
WHO are the 144,000? *These would be the dry bones that are resurrected in Ezekiel 37:1-14* (Jeremiah 31:15-17, the cross-references are *virgins* and *firstfruits* in Revelation 14:4 (Matthew 27:52-53 repeats! God keeps close track of the feasts typology, resurrections and Raptures!) - Romans 11:15. Why does God count all the people and give all their names in Ezra and Nehemiah? It's connected with the rebuilding of Jerusalem and the temple - the key is Ecclesiastes 3:15 - this happened in the rededication of the second Temple (Ezra and Nehemiah) and will repeat for the third and final time AFTER the Second Advent. These are partial lists of names, number of people, the connection to the tribes and their office or rank of the 144,000 witnesses as they transition into the Millenial kingdom.
I was thinking Matthew 27:52-53 was Jesus taking the Old Testament saints out of Abrahams Bosom. Since Jesus had been crucified “the way” to heaven was opened and the Old Testament saints could go to heaven ?
No. He took Old Testament saints souls from Abraham's bosom to heaven. They are still waiting on their bodily resurrection at the second advent. These "firstfuits" were bodily resurrected.

Found my sparse notes written in my Bible. Basically, he said Matt 2:16 was the fulfilment of Jer 31:15 (as quoted in Matt 2:18 -- with Rachel/Rahel being the mother of Israel, from which come the 144,000). He also pointed to Jer 31:16-17 as saying that the children who were slain would live again, and that these children would make up the 144,000 (Jer 31:17) The comfort for the mothers of the slain children is that these mourning women would be rewarded (Jer 31:16) in that their dead children would one day live again as the 144,000 witnesses

Blessed I have been thinking about that for weeks!
Very interesting ,gonna have to get my bible and note pad for a closer look . But I like it .
Whoa! 🤯 Bro Roy, not only is your educated guess a nugget, but i noticed while listening to you that the numbers in Rev 14 :4 match... 144,000 😃

Good theory, and I've yet to hear a better one. Only time will tell for sure. I can attest that they're not the JWs as you stated.

Very Interesting theory, Makes a lot of sense. I mean how can there be more than 1 first fruit?

BrotherRoy The 12 tribes of Israel?
Which means they could indeed be the slain children of Herod??
I personally find no Scripture hinting at that.

12,000 from each of the 12 tribes = 144,000.
