I have viltrox 56mm and love it for street because I can take photo without notice by the object, not mean to stalking but to take the object as natural. When people know you take the photo the mood became different. So, I thought this 75 would be the best for my case, but I would need to upgrade for ibis to max its potential. A6700 + Viktrox 75 is in my wishlist, and I love the isolation with distancing in this video, maybe the best so far I have seen in your video.
Don't think IBIS is needed to take photos with this lens. Look at the guy's camera setting, practically taking photo under low light condition, and he still shot with 1/1250-1/2000 shutter speed on ISO 100!
@pisangijo419 i know, but not sure if it is okay with that speed for some situation with low light. Will try to take some photo with speed around that using the 56mm for every case, as it is still new and then upgrade later after improve my skill
Just saw the video (amazing street photography skills, and definitely nice to see which settings you use for a bit of insight on how to get those saucy bits), and I was wondering… you're using the Viltrox 75mm f1.2 Pro, which is an APS-C lens. Doesn't that mean that you're also shooting on 75mm? Reason I'm asking is because at about 5:54 you mention that it's shooting at ±112mm, but I thought the 1:5 crop was only relevant if you use a fullframe lens on an APS-C camera?

Great shots! Would like to ask your opinion: was just in London and did some street photography and for the first time some night time stuff. After the trip, while I did get several great shots, it was the first time I really felt I needed to upgrade to a FF which I have always said isn't necessary. Now I wonder if I just need to upgrade to the 6700 and a better lens. I was using my 6400 with Sigma 18-50 2.8 and a lot of shots were blurry. I know just going to a better aperture lens would help but would it be enough. Thanks and happy holidays.
Thanks! No as long as your shutter speed is high enough you’ll be fine. Remember DSLR cameras used to never have OSS nor IBIS. So don’t overthink that stuff. Hope that helps :)

Pics show off good subject separation for this lens. Did you find the lens font heavy and a bit tiresome after this shoot? (“Tram of thought” - almost😂.) Best for the holidays. Cheers!

Set your camera to shutter speed priority mode, and set the ISO auto min 100 max 400 or whatever. After that always watch the exposure meter before shooting, if it's too bright simply crank up your shutter speed until the exposure reach 0 or anything closer to your preference.
Hey Curtis, I have an A6400 just like you and I've been watching your videos when you pair yours with the Sigma 85mm F1.4 and this Viltrox. I'm planning to purchase one of those but I'm still undecided which lens I'm going for, so I'm wondering if you have any suggestions which one I should get?
I've had people ask why I'm taking photos in the past but never have any confrontations. Street photography is also perfectly legal in the UK but laws vary for country to country. Just about practice, I used to get so nervous when first starting street photography especially taking photos of strangers

Yes it means the PoV of 75 is that of 112 in full frame terms. So a 56 f1.4 apsc lens gives a fov of 85 in full frame

Check out the Sigma 18-50 as an all round lens. Then either the 30mm or 56mm as a prime. They are great lenses! 🚀
