Engineer 100%. He's the sanest of all the mercs. Calm. He seems like you can have some good deep chats with him. He's also an excellent father figure to the Pyro. I've thought Engineer since day 1 of me playing tf2.

In terms of datability. I think heavy, spy, and demo are your best bets as (besides all the merc stuff) they are relatively normal people. In terms of attractiveness, though, probably scout

Demo: many don’t know it but demo is extremely rich and is very hardworking man. So if you wanna live in a castle and get the best gifts possible then he’s your guy. But you will have to deal with an alcoholic or drink with him together. Just don’t gige him any solid food or water, he will get intoxicated
Heavy: with this guy good family is guaranteed(if you survive in bed)
Engineer: kind of guy who would make awesome father but is too obsessed with work. So if you work with him TOGETHER you might be perfect

I feel like it'd depend on your type and what kind of relationship you're going for. I will also be guessing the type of people that like these characters. No promises on accuracy.
Heavy is great for if you long for someone you can lean against in a partner. He is strong, stoic, smart, and he is a family man. He makes you feel warm, safe, and secure. My guess is that this is a feeling you are not used to, probably coming from a broken home. That or you just enjoy the idea of being taken care of.
Medic is great for if you love crazy. He is unhinged, yet smart. Not a dull day goes by when you are around Medic. He has magnificent man boobs as well, so that's a bonus. This is for your people who were labled the "problem child", have more diagnosed illnesses than fingers, and/or family issues. I'm guessing you also have a long history of prescriptions that never worked for you.
Scout is your high school boyfriend type deal. He can be annoying, clingy maybe, but he means well and is funny, whether it's him actually trying to be or if he's just acting dumb. You like the idea of having somebody lean against you for support. It makes you feel important. That or you just like a man that can fill the silence, even if it's raving about the most pointless things. I also have a strange feeling you're a femboy and/or suffer from daddy issues.
Pyro always felt too much of a child for me to see as datable, but if I were to guess the appeal, Pyro is more of a comfort type of character. They look scary, they can cause mayham, but deep down inside they are a childcore cinnamon roll. That can also kill someone. So uh.. broken home? Thinking maybe fostercare system. OR. Or. (More like an and/or) You just think Pyro is very cute and/or mysterious.
Demo is for the childhood best friend crushing tragic gays. You feel comfortable to be less than perfect around him becuase, honesty, he has issues, too. And that's okay. You two can strive to be better together. You probably have a lot of insecurities and/or dabble in substance of some kind. You love a man who can proudly wear a kilt, and probably a skirt as well. That or you just find his more laid back nature (at least, in terms of befriending the enemy Soldier) and think "Wow, didn't know he was chill like that."
Soldier is for those who like action, but not in the intellectual murder type of way. Loud chaos and nonsense is what you're used to, or you never got to have any sort of freedom to the point where you just want to scream and hit a shovel against your head repeadedly. Soldier is devoted murder himbo and everybody loves it.
Spy is, and you probably saw this from a mile away, daddy issues. He is literally the deadbeat dad. He is professional, he is cold, he is kind of an asshole, and you are all for it. You're in love with the idea of a relationship, the French accent being considered a romance language, the formal suits and ties, the flirtatious behavior, but not the commitment of one, opting for those who a flakey and emotionally distant. He is a way for you to take back control of your abandonment issues, playing them out in a way that helps you cope rather than get to the root of the problem. Or maybe you like the idea of never having to work again, which I do not blame you.
Sniper is, we got another one, for family issues. You can't tell me you have a happy, healthy, and stable relationship with both of your parents and no trauma if out of everybody, you go for the guy who was abanonded by his birth parents, pisses in jars, has the social skills of a crayon, and probably needs to be hosed down with Dawn Dish Soap. He is for the introverts that hate big gatherings and probably has a hyperfixation or genral liking for plants, animals, and/or the outdoors. Or you just like rugged outdoor men and thought Saxton Hale was too extreme.
Engineer is for those who need stability in life, but less than the Heaby lovers. Where the Heavy lovers anchor on him being a family man, Engineer lovers hook onto his almost nerdy intelligence. He offers a simular comfort to Heavy, but with less of the intimidation. Or maybe you just like yeehaw cowboys, who knows?
So yeah, those are my guesses. I tried to add an alternative option that wasn't just "childhood trauma" because there are people that like characters romantically and don't have trauma. All reasons for liking a character are valid, after all. Feel free to let me know how close and/or far I got with my predictions! Would love to hear feedback.
