Thank you! I'm a beginner who is very greatful to you for helping me find my joy. Unfortunately I'm still working through fear, but I have faith that it'll happen.
I feel the same way, even though I am a bit advanced. The more I watch and blindly jump in as soon as I have watched enough of her videos that tell me I can do this and try copy the video, the closer I get to actually doing that. Then I just have to take that final quantum leap and dive in. I usually tell myself to close my eyes, laugh because it might just come out better than with my eye actually open, open my eye and try follow the instructions. I have been very surprised at the results. Sometimes a bit too surprised, but then again I cannot expect to get it perfect all the time, ok at least way, way better than I expected I would ever get 😂. Seriously this channel has boosted my art because it jibes me the confidence to actually try things I refused to go beyond my comfort zone in. Thank you @paintcrush.
I so loved seeing the strokes repeating without having to replay the whole video several times. I will watch several times anyway, but it is so helpful. I can't wait to try these out. Thank you for guiding us to the next videos.
Kristy, this lesson is one of ur best. Allowing viewers to re watch ur brush handling is paramount. I found two tips in this lesson alone that I’ve struggled with. Been watching at least a year and seen everything you’ve ever done. Your my fave! Love ur happy spirit. You never fail to brighten my day and inspire!!!❤
Side view ended up being my favorite so far. This is just a first pass, I think the buds version 1 will end up being the most delicate. I appreciate how you inspire and share knowledge!! Thank you!
So, I maybe said that I got this set of travel brushes. Now, I’ve been watching your video on slow speed, and practicing the brush strokes. I have an entire page of flowers, with mixed results, but I’m having a great time. When you got to the 3/4 view, I had a hard time following, so I decided to look for a photo. Kristi, these dagger brushes are the best ever for loose florals! I got some beautiful results!! I really admire how Jillian Boone uses a flat brush, but I cannot master it. I like a filbert, but I find it hard to get some of the different edges. This, however, is going to be my go-to brush for flowers. I absolutely love it!! These are synthetic brushes, and they hold and release the paint so nicely. It’s a wonderful set. ❤️
Hey Kristy! I love your filler buds the best #6. Loving your videos, sometimes I watch and sometimes paint along. Always watch and research your classes. Keep them coming. Learning so much! Thanks Fran the N'awlins Girl
Hi Kristy! I purchased your brushes anddk I not only live them and cherish them I am protective of them, especially when my cat jumps up exploring and wanting attention! She has been known to try and nibble my brushes in the past. The cute little bag they arrived in was so adorable and is a very personal touch! Thank you so look much for demonstrating them also. The cats tongue is my fave for detailing thick or thin and holds an unbelievable amount of water! The dager brushes enables me to create the most believable leaves... I just couldn't understand why they were so reasonably priced for the value of your product! They are really inspiring my creativity. BTW, I also bought Paul tube a paints same time so there could soon be a manifestation of a masterpiece,LOL😍
I'm so impressed by your brush control. I've tried moving away from the metal part and it looks like I'm celebrating 4th of July early. 😂 It's practice time with no worries about the end product. I did go back and reviewed leaves also. Time to get tha brush wet. I want to practice these flowers, eucalyptus, and ferns. 🥰
At least you know how to capture your 4th of July moments now 😂. I am sure that your results look better than that, but I am inspired by your honesty and determination. The fear is a bit too strong for some elements, but I am hoping that the other elements will pull me through. 1 things for sure, I should be producing a few great 4th of July moments myself and I am not American 😂😂😂. ❤ your comment. Good luck.
Oh, one day! I will be able to get your palette! Splurged on both brush sets, which I absolutely love and use every time I paint. Lovely flowers and techniques. ❤😊 God bless.
Okay, I want that brush. Of course, you make all brushes look easy. Still… I want to hang out with you because I bet you’re a lot of fun. Your videos are some of my favorites, AND you’re a talented artist!! Thank you. ❤
I am new to painting all together. I’ve listen to several instructional videos Kristy you are the best for me ,your explanations are super easy to understand I will be purchasing some brushes and paint before fall. I’m 75 years young and always wanted to paint. Thank you for giving me the confidence that I can do this.
This just made all the puzzle pieces SNAP together!! OMGoodness Kristy thanks for making it so simple to understand!! I feel like a true artist as my mind is racing and flooding with ideas and designs for my next painting that I can't get out fast enough...and wouldn't you know its ti.e for bed...or is it? ❤🎉🤩
@KristyRice I actually stayed up after my shower and got through half of a 5 x 7 painting. It felt so effortless and free as I felt like I have all the tools to make decisions on my own! Granted this morning my husband had some critiques but I don't always feel he understands watercolor and just how things come together so I disagreed with his suggestions as I feel he wants things to be same same and more realistic than I want to paint! I'm working on finishing it up this morning and will tag you on IG when I'm done. You are truly an amazingly talented person with a heart of gold to share all your tips and tricks with us! If it weren't for TH-cam and artists like you it's safe to say I wouldn't be no where near the artists I am now as I wouldn't have access to any instructors the learn the basic from and being a visual learner it's so important!! Thank you so much!! 💓
@@creeksidehomeschoolersWish we could show pictures in the comments so you could share! Kristy and other youtubers have really helped my art too. My husband seems to be similar to yours. you a amazing , I have a beginers set only 7 colors (in the UK ) and still not used it ......I love your teaching it is really fun and free, you make me laugh too .I love your fillers you make it look so easy . xxxxx Happy Joy Painting xxx
Most painters always show the front face viewpoint of flowers and leaves, so this is really helpful. I especially loved the "filler" cluster. Questions: What is double and triple brush loading? On the first bud, what is the green bulb shape at the bottom of the bud? I love the composition at the end!
The dainty filler is my fav. The one I like least perhaps because you went in the green and blue for a bud was the 2nd bud or 5th one. I paused go where you are about to bring it altogether. So I am about convinced besides your brushes here I also want to purchase your Pallet! ❤❤❤ A TAD EXCITED ❤❤❤ THANKS, Kristy!! 😊😊😊
Wow, this video was SO helpful in learning how to use the dagger brush! It was so helpful seeing it done slowly, first in real time and then each stroke explained. Now I've got to get your dagger brush since it doesn't seem to be available just like yours as fas as the length of the curved side vs the pointed side.

I have a lot of trouble pulling my stems down, and getting a nice even , flowing line. However, I’m much better pulling up. Is this just a matter of practice? Probably! You make everything look easy!
Thank you for sharing so much important info with us! I'm super excited because after hundreds of practice brush strokes, I figured out my problem with the dagger,,,I never had enough paint on it!! Lots of water is great as long as you have enough pigment,,,thanks to you and your loaded brush I've made a big step!! 🎉😂❤

I love it when you use an actual real, live flower in your videos, but I would also appreciate a few picture examples in this case. The others I am more confident about. I cannot wait to try this out. I am quite confident that I can get the hang of most of the elements now that you have broken them down so beautifully. Thank you.
