Can confirm after trying 30+ times and failing then beating Randy with 9 bunt hits that bunt cheese works.

THANK YOU. Failed miserably a bunch of times. Couldn’t even get past Helmsley. First time using these methods I got to Aroldis and lost. Second time I beat it. I use a combination of the 2 methods. Would bunt with fast guys, until 2 outs then I would do the timeout thing and wait for the head nod. Skip the bunt part for the slow guys. Worked wonders. Never would’ve beaten it otherwise
The nodding or shaking head thing helped me finish the showdown, you should avoid using it on Leiter and Musinna tho since they throw more cutters and sinkers when they have the head movement but the others worked for me perfectly
I can't get this to work.. I did the timeout until he shook his head, and saw all different pitches, changeup, fastball, slider, curveball. Does it only work on certain pitchers?

Scann - You are killing me smalls, I wanted to see you do this against the big guys, not the two bosses we all can pass. Show us the way vs Chapman, Nolan and Randy
It works the same way with every pitcher, I just tested to see if this works with the first bosses since I did not want to play through that showdown again
After leiter I didn’t swing until 2 strikes. Chapman walked the bases loaded and I hit a grand slam. Nolan walked bases loaded grand slam. Randy I capitalized on every walk and win the showdown with 16 outs left
This was my best chance but unfortunately after 2 hours of timeouts I still lost anyway against Chapman. I think I can finally quit this knowing it’s impossible for me. Appreciate the timeout tip it does work.
I Have a few questions. about the head method..
1) How long did it take you to make this video? It's taking me some time inbetween head nods and my ADD has me playing sudoku inbetween them
2) Follow up: Will he throw a Fastball ONLY when he nods? or is it a random glitch? Basically asking if he doesnt nod can I assume its going to be a breaking ball? I guess I'll opt to take a pitch if he doesnt nod to figure this out, but if he only throws fastballs with a nod this could also be useful

So the calling time method seems to work, but i notice i’ve gotta call time about 20-25 times to get the shake off. Sometimes more. So it’s not just calling time a couple times, takes a lot. I know we got warned that it’s time consuming, just wanted to give a disclaimer how time consuming it really is. I mean, i’m sitting here 5 minutes before seeing a single pitch, and sometimes they throw the pitch out of the zone, so then it’s another 5 minutes till the next one. You can get really disengaged with the method, cuz you’re looking at 1-2 swings every 10 minutes. It works tho. The bunt method seems to work really well too

Do you have to drag bunt? I just get thrown out bunting to 2B even with 90+ speed guy.

I learned that randy is really wild and if your patient he'll walk you mostly
yep just beat him on a grand slam with 7 walks i skipped nolan ryan too
@@dylanpolo2163 Yep I won it on my first try and it almost felt like they programmed randy to be wild. I noticed in the 1 ab when he threw me literally 4 straight balls. All it literally takes it patience when you get to Nolan and Randy. The game will beat itself
I'm surprised you didn't know about the pitcher shaking off the catcher. I honestly thought it was common knowledge. It never occurred to me to cheese it with the d-pad though. I think I figured it out back in 19 or 20. You still have to be disciplined but it definitely helps. Great work Scann!! 🤘🤘
the d-pad one is crazy. i feel like you could earn walks doing it this way as well.
Was this fixed or something? I get the shakeoff and he throws a changeup in the dirt. He doesn't shake off it's a slider away. I'm so confused. Is it only certain pitchers?
@@dtsports924 i think it was patched. same with bunting. i went back after the latest patch and players were missing bunts that were down the middle.

@@dtsports924 No not that I'm aware of. They still throw whatever their primary fastball is when they shake off or nod at least in Vs CPU or conquest games.
bunt cheese def works. i got lucky as well. I had 3 guys with 99 speed. and got a drag bunt quirk, increased speed steal quirk, and rattled quirk. I'd bunt a guy and move him over to 3rd off of steals. rinse and repeat. i was finishing challenges in minutes. also you were doing it wrong. you should drag bunt and direct the bunts towards 2nd. near guarantee if a strike is thrown
Does Yes/No shake hold true for other offline modes like conquest/mini-season?
For ray durham they dont nod they head at all. Do you know any reason why this happens or if there are certain players it wont happen

Holy crap guys the waiting till it throws you fastballs works so well. They sometimes throw it up out of the zone so watch out for that. It’s very time consuming but it’s so easy i be at randy with 21 outs left good luck

I’ve given it 3 attempts now and with every pitcher they don’t throw a fastball everytime it’s basically like they’re pitching normally
@@rphil_ nah your probably not doing it right man they never missed fastball maybe you haven’t waited till the nod it’s a pretty big nod it’s always gonna be up it the zone. Dont forget if they do t nod call timeout and just wait for the nod

I knew when they shook off the catcher it was a high fastball and quickly learned when they nodded yes it was the same, but yes I sat there and kept calling time on the pitcher to see if he would do it every at at bat. That's how much that showdown was getting to me lol.
