Progenitus has two (minor) upsides over Worldspine Wurm. 1. Worldspine Wurm being a trigger means it can be hit by e.g. Cling to Dust, a card that would otherwise not do enough against us. 2. Progenitus can be pitched to Grief as necessary.
I think Progenitus actually IS significantly better than the Wurm. If the opponent is low enough that attacking isn't necessary, then you can pitch Progenitus to Grief. Can definitely come up.
Creeping chills, narcomebas, vengeful vines = my Hyper Dredge deck for modern. TY for bringing the new way to dredge up!!! I hope WoTC will continue to support this with new cards in the future.
I've been running a version of this with less interaction (no thoughtseize, grief). Before I remembered the worm, but my way to save myself was Turn the Earth, which could shuffle back in MDFCs so I'd have those spells for needed removal or a land drop for Bloodghasts, which can help get through cheated Atraxa's lifelink
Crazy idea. Turn the entire sideboard into a vampire deck. Get rid of all graveyard pieces except Silversmote (a vampire) and add Sorin, Elenda, etc. Their sideboard cards would be useless.
I feel so bad around the 15 minute mark your opponent tried using man from SpringLeaf Drum for a card by tapping on a Map token but the auto tapper tapped their Ornithopter instead leaving them with less blockers
isnt haunted dead almost strictly worse than 2nd copy of either worldspine wurm or progenitus? in the game you drew 1st copy of those shuffling-itself-back-to-deck cards, you still have 2nd copy in the deck. you don't have to worry about having two mana during next upkeep.
4 creeping chills into 4 bloodghasts as long as you have a way to trigger landfall in the same turn is a one turn kill. Dunno why this deck doesn't have bloodghasts.
Just thought about this for a bit, and I'm not sure if it is that much better than you think. Because you would need a land to play after balustrade spy in a 17land deck. Turn 1, if you combo you wouldn't be able to get them out, and turn 2, if you combo here you also wouldn't be able to get it out with only 1 ritual into spy. Then turn 3, if you comboed in previous turn you would need to pray for a land. 🫠 It is technically better if all creeping chills are in the deck with bloodghasts and you have the combo with being able to play a land after combo on turn 2.
@@Takobyte It adds another wincon if you don't get the exact combo off in the earliest turn possible, just finding 4 cards to cut for them seems like the hassle here. I always run the Bloodghast+Amalgam+Faithless looting combo in all my graveyard decks that plays well with graveyard combos but also just applies a plan B constant aggro threat where you often pump out 5+ power onto the board by turn 2 by simply playing 1 or more lootings and 2 lands. I get what this deck wants to do but it just seems like it doesn't do much without the exact combo aside from playing Grief.
I just coincidentally played this deck. He had double dark ritual into Balustrade Spy on Turn 1, but luckily I was playing my Soul Sisters deck. He lost.
I just hate dark ritual. I love timeless, but I find myself playing it less and less because of all the non games that dark ritual provides. If there's no free counters in the format it doesn't make sense to have all these turn 1 all in decks with necropotence, sorin or stuff like this
Deck is from Spalot, I just added one card and minor changes to sideboard 👍

@@Djinn-xf2kd I would be sooo down for more dredge support in timeless 😀
Oglor profile picture hell yeah, love that card in Historic
Maybe add 1 Thasa's Oracle in the main? When you mill yourself, you can reanimate it and win the game at same turn.

nice idea🤔
@ You could even replace Prized Amalgam with Bloodghast in the main to get an extra vamp.

Definitely Sanctity over Void in the SB.
I think you don't need the bloodghast. Not bad but just another card to clog up the deck.
you're a lucky man because the deck always came out the wrong way round when i played.
ya like I mentioned in the outro, I did get very lucky this session 😅
I'm playing this deck in Bo1 and just reached Mythic #183. It's so strong.
Nice ❤

Why do they keep conceding?
@@AaronWolfenbarger because they're dead next turn 😅
Does this deck just autolose to Rest in Piece and Leyline of the Void? lmao
It autoloses to leyline, but can go under RIP.
It's a best of 1 deck in my humble opinion.
