I just saw one thing i think you did wrong, i think the 3 magic dmg spell from the summon is 3 black dies instead of 3 dmg. thanks for the uppload, helps me learn :)

Mistake on caestus item. It is not 2 dices to add to main attack but dual attack from backslot. Therefore 1 additional attack at 2 dices

Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback!! I’d love to jump back into this and do a loooooong campaign series :) I don’t get to scratch my board game itch as often as I’d like, but that might change!

Hi there! Dude, how did you set up the window in the upper right corner for tabletop simulator? I really need that.

    • @immahippie
      @immahippie  ปีที่แล้ว

Hello! Here are the steps to set up the picture-in-picture and lock the frame in Tabletop Simulator :)
      1. Load into your favorite board game
      2. Right-click anywhere on the table
      3. Click "Picturre-in-Picture". You'll see the small box appear
      4. Move your camera around like normal to show the exact view in your new PIP box
      5. Hover your mouse over the PIP box and click the Lock icon to freeze the frame
      6. You can click and drag on the PIP border to resize and move the PIP box to your desired location for it
      I hope this helps!

I know this was a while ago, but I loaded this up after watching you play. How did you get your soul counter on the bonfire tile? Its making me use the tokens but I love the counter you have

    • @immahippie
      @immahippie  ปีที่แล้ว

So actually you shouldn't have to touch anything with the soul counter if you use this mod, but here's the link to the Workshop mod I used for this video:
      steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2090170303
Once loaded, the soul counter comes already loaded with just the + and - buttons
(NOTE: I did NOT make this mod nor do I take any credit)
      I hope this helps :)

Personally, I have never wasted treasure slots for the armours from the Character expansion on the basic armours, I always add the legendary versions after defeating a mini boss. I don't see the point of adding weaker armour when you can add stronger armour. Plus, adding them after mini boss means it's a thinner deck as you'll have drawn plenty of cards from the deck on your way to the mini boss, making it more probable that you draw the legendary armour.
You seemed to be selecting and hand-placing the tiles, when per the rules, they should be randomised.
11:00, honestly, even before seeing the encounters, I would guess all you'd need to get through them is Soulstream, especially in a solo run. It provides a ranged magic attack, with cleave to boot. And only costs six souls to get Intelligence to Tier 2, small price to pay for the potential it provides.
13:35, combining Force with Soulstream (or any one-handed reach/ranged option) in solo is pretty much broken on non-boss encounters. Push back with Force, attack with Soulstream (in either order you prefer), melee enemies cannot reach you, ever, so you just spam Soulstream until they die. Even make Sentinel a joke.
27:00, opening a chest is optional, so if you feel like your gear isn't quite up to it, can skip risking a Mimic until you have better gear.
When running after the Crossbow Hollow at 59:00, I would've first swapped Caestus with the Round Shield, giving two attacks of two black dice for zero stamina against the Crossbow Hollow, just in case. Especially since Round Shield doesn't protect against Crossbow Hollow anyways.
1:08:30, I wouldn't have bothered with Luck token, two Hollow Soldiers aren't going to take you down in a turn even with both of them and the Crossbows attacking. I mean, theoretically they could, but the odds are very very high against them.
1:10:30, just the situation I was talking about with the previous encounter, swapping Round Shield to Caestus with only Crossbows left gives two free two black dice attacks with no loss of defense.
1:11:30 (and the previous enemy activation too), what do you mean the Crossbow on your node cannot move further away from you? Literally every adjacent node is further away from the current node. It would result in it moving away, shooting, you spending stamina to run after it, rinse repeat until it dies, then the same for the other Crossbow.
1:14:40, default campaign rules are 100% broken. Ability to buy sparks, how do you lose when you never run out of sparks?
1:17:00, since spending souls for levelling happens in increments of two (2/4/8) and you gain two souls per room, there is no reason to save a single soul, unless you want to keep one back for another Luck token re-flip, might as well draw another treasure IMO.
1:20:00, given you already had an encounter with traps earlier, there is no way your trap bag should contain the full 20 tokens, the ones at the previous encounter should not be in there, they should still be on the board, taking out what, 5-6 tokens used.
1:22:15, I suppose it's good your now trusting your defenses, but me, personally, I'd not be pushed onto a node where I get attacked by the other Silver Knight Swordsman. Instead of getting pushed left, you could've chosen to get pushed down, leaving you three away from the other SKS, who then would've moved into the top-right corner with his buddy, perfect cleave setup for your first turn. Only against bosses are your push options limited in direction, against everyone else, it's up to you to freely choose a valid node.
1:24:45, you're playing the attacks wrong. Each attack is its own separate entity, you do not combine the dice into one roll. Using Caestus, it's two black dice vs two defense, then Battle Axe same two black dice vs two defense, not four dice vs two defense.
1:34:40, other than one test run to see how they play out, I haven't used Summons at all, I don't find any need to make the game even easier than it already is (and it is super easy, especially solo).
1:42:35 if you had started say in the bottom-right corner rather than in the middle, Gargoyle's first attack would've whiffed. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer to not let them get free attacks even if I feel my defenses are solid, especially if simple positioning allows me to avoid it.
1:50:00, it's actually a three black dice attack, not a straight three magic damage for the Summon. Also, Summons get the weak arc bonus die like characters (p. 8).
1:50:45, Taunt only comes into play with 3+ heroes. Otherwise Aggro is the first tiebreaker, which one of the players will always have in a two-player game.
1:57:10, bosses moving away do not actually face the character they are moving away from. Instead, they turn so the center of their back arc faces an adjacent node further away from the character, then backs onto that node (p. 29). This might result in the boss facing the character. So in this instance, say you get pushed to the right-middle edge node, the Gargoyle could turn its butt to face north and back itself to the red mini boss spawn node. Or butt facing south and back south, facing toward the center of the board. Or back diagonally top-left or bottom-left, or the final option of backing straight-left. And since the move still has the push icon, any character first gets pushed away before the boss does its move.

I'm trying to learn this game so I'm basically doing 1:1 of your run except for some pieces of loot at the end of encounters 1 and MAN I was lucky to get soul arrow 2/3 magical from the treasure. Saved my ass on both of those knights. Still, I barely made it out of the prison tower. It actually felt like Dark Souls fight :D
Do you plan to re-visit once the new core sets are out on TTS?
