Scarr's Pizza! Redefining NYC's Slice Game!

  • Located in Near NYC's Chinatown, Scarr’s Pizza owned by Scarr Pimentel has redefined the pizza slice game by serving the best pizza slice made from higher quality organic ingredients for all. The cost for the slice was $4.00 each, and you get a delicious that is highly digestible product that can reduce the heavy bloating feeling that you get from cheaply made pizza slices. Pimentel wants a pizza that is good for the gut and your health!
Located at 22 Orchard St, New York, NY 10002 in a small store front with a dining room in the back that was closed and a few wooden booths outside on the sidewalk. It's just outside of the main section of Chinatown, but down the street from Vanessa's Dumpling House and Dumpling King! The Lower East Side still has graffiti on the building walls.

There was a short line, however we still waited about 10 minutes and another 10 minutes to get some pizza. Unfortunately, one slice fell on the table, so we had to wait another 10 minutes to get that third slice.
Overall, you can taste the care and dedication for a better pizza slice through better ingredients. Milling fresh wheatberries, using Biano Dinapoli tomato sauce, and aged cheese redefines pizza slices into a culinary delight. It shows you that if you learn more about food ingredients, the better you can make the food you serve.
It’s so worth a visit for lunch, dinner or late night fun!

Scarrs is a replica of what a typical slice shop was in the 70s and 80s in NY.

It does have a cool vibe. I need to revisit as this slice was underwhelming

@@NoahEats You are better off going to a real old school pizza shop. I would recommend Brothers in Fresh Meadows and Tommys near Throgs Neck in the Bronx.

Great information! I've always enjoyed Scarr's, but never knew just how much goes into creating their pizza.

A lot of people can benefit from how the develop their pizza. I found it fascinating to gather different sources and make something coherent

Oh wow, didn't expect the average score after all that footage of highly praised dough making! I initially gave Scarr's a 7.9 and then went back for a rescore a year later and gave it an 8.1. It's a two cheese and the crust was it's own I thought. Quality oregano. And it was nice to see you out at night !!! lol

I could barely see where I was walking after Scarr's. I had to walk back to Lombardi's to get my umbrella! Definitely, my expectation was a lot higher, but it felt like a failed reheat, like they made a bunch prior and the oven was not working that good that night. Not like Prince Street, where as soon as you order, they pie comes out and they slice it and give it to you.

Love Scarr's! It's up there as my favorite with Joe's. You should check out the pies at Fascati in Brooklyn Heights. A hole-in-the-wall cash only joint with some underrated slices. It's been in the neighborhood for decades!

You would think that. I tasted like it had been sitting around and then reheated a couple times. I waited some time just for a slice. Ill try it again.

I was impressed by their squares. Was almost as good (85-90%) as Prince St for their pepperoni slice and still had other great options. At Prince St they do a GREAT pepperoni. Their other offerings are meh.

There was something that was off on this slice. While the ingredients was top end. Something happened to the prep and/or oven. It was not as hot and it had the taste of left over pizza that was not reheated correctly :(
