I become emotional whenever retirement comes to mind. I offer my heartfelt apologies to those who, after years of diligent work and saving for retirement, faced unexpected events that led to significant losses. This situation is especially harsh for retirees

Strategy is good for growth; however things to be noted
    1. Debt mutual fund is TAXABLE as per new rules from last year.
    2. Debt mutual fund returns also fluctuates as per repo rate. (So, if bond yeild fells, FD rates fells, debt mutual fund will also give less return going forward)
    3. The only profit of Debt mutual fund is - you need to give tax as per profit booked. Unlike a FD, where you need to give tax on the entire amount.
    4. If a person is retiring with 1cr +1 lakh pension. Anyway he/she does not need to worry about inflation.
    - pensions automatically increase with inflation.
    - even if you get 7% return (7lakh) withdraw 30k/month from it the rest interest amount will take care of the corpus.
    5. if you are married, (other than Muslim, christian) You can create a HUF pan number and can take tax benefit upto 6 lakh as per new tax slab. ( No tax you need to give on that return upto 6 lakh)

Its a new strategy for me. But I have a different plan. I invested everything in aggressive MF. After retirement, I will withdraw only 3% of the CURRENT CORPUS annually (Converted into monthly). If current corpus goes down, I will get less amount, which will be assessed on monthly basis, in excel. How about it?

Monthly withdrawal or SWP should be planned from stable and least volatile instruments as planning this from aggressive assets could be counterproductive.

@@finvisionfinancialservices Thanks for your guidance. I have a small query. When the Bucket-1 will exhaust, that time if market crashed, then what will happen to Bucket-2 ?

I don’t agree with this plan.
After retirement one can’t take risks with his hard earned Corpus. Investing in market linked instruments can be suicidal if market crashes like in Corona
One should invest 80/90 percent in SSSC , Post office MIS , Post office & Bank FDR etc & balance he can take risks by investing in equity etc

40K withdrawal from 40L growing at 6% is very much in order. Yes in 10 yrs the corpus will reduce to ~6.5L. But by then the 60L bucket growing at 12% should rise to 1.86Cr.
      May watch again to understand
