When you tip gravel move the dumper slowly and only lift the tipper enough to start the gravel flow, you’ll save gravel and it spreads better. That’s my tip 😊
One small tip/ trick you might mention on the next video is this: When pouring concrete using the pump, the game doesn't spend or waste any concrete if you miss the formwork (At least on medium difficulty) You can have the concrete pourer running and dumping outside the formworks and hop into the concrete mixer to verify that your load amount doesn't decrease.
it doesn't seem to waste concrete even on high difficulty. if you just sit in one spot the amount used will slow sown and eventually stop
One tip that seems obvious…. I have noticed a number of YT content creators who DON’T do this, is in the store menu when buying a vehicle is the SORT option which can group the same vehicle types together as opposed to by manufacturer. (The same applies when looking at your vehicle fleet and there is the option to also sort by damage level)

To make the upgrading of your company more efficient, leave all vehicles at the job site until the contract is completed, then get in each and fast travel to the nearest gas station (lowest fast travel fee) and gas it up and repair it before fast traveling to the company premises. Depending on the contract, this could end up being a lot of refuels and repairs, allowing you to upgrade faster.
Nicely done video - very informative, good discussion of underlying mechanics without extraneous chatter.
One tip to add is that fast travel to your home base costs nothing (PS5 version) so if you are travelling a long way, travel to base first then to the destination. This can save 50% on most trips which adds up especially for large machines that are more of a float fee than taxi money.
0:53 Changing your video setting - display mode - to "exclusive full screen" prevents your cursor from going out of the game window. The shortcut for pressing 3 is a great time-saver!
putting in exclusive full screen dropped my frame from 150 to 60 . you know why? vsync off
Good tip. I did this and didn't bother looking into turning the cursor off. I have two spare monitors and I can see the mouse in the other windows without turning on exclusivity. If the mouse is outside of game, and I use scroll wheel, it can sometimes affect the off focus program and be very distracting.
18:05 was the most valuable tip for me i was looking for a toggle but couldnt find it anywhere. Finally i get the knot out of my fingers when bulldozing.
I just started playing this recently. I'm still new and learning stuff, but my early tip is to rent the pickup truck and drive around the whole map to discover all the unexplored sites. Then you'll find more gas stations, materials store, vehicle dealer, etc, that may be closer to the next contract job. That would save time if driving or money when using fast travel.

If you store equipment you can go in and change the names. I know in multi player you had issues with having multiple identical vehicles and not knowing which was which. You can give each vehicle and individual name, even if it's as simple as mack tipper #3
All my construction vehicles are named after transformers of the decepticon constructicon fraction, using existing or made up names. I find it much cooler than having generic names.

Many good tips. But the two tips i need is how to get a free moving camera and, how to invert the controls for excavator, dozers etc. It such a pain to use any of those machines with the controls being opposite of what they are in real.
Yeah, i am hoping for an update to release the controls from the kraken as well to get to where they make sence. Even the three different control scheme's dont make much of a difference and still feel way awkward.
on controller, you need to hold down the left stick then use the right stick to use the free camera ... drives me nuts lol
@@Giofalls You "only" have to press it, not hold it. But still idiotic as heck! (also setting camera control to toggle makes it a tiny bit better)

If you run a vehicle off the dock into the water it will reset the vehicle and trigger a Wilhelm scream 😉

If you end up in any water, your character screams, melts and respawn in a dry spot.

How do you change maps?
Do you have to start a new load - how do you swap the money over.

I actually never noticed that fast travelling to gravel plants and loading/unloading manually is cheaper than buying materials on-site. Guess I'm too lazy to watch 2 loading screens every time.
Hi! do you know howto change the outfit? I got the airport dlc, and they said have the pilot costume. but i cant find it to change

I turned the traffic offences off not so much because bad AI of cars (couldn't get any fines for ramming others anyway) but due to ... strange .. traffic lights implementation. Sitting through extremly slow cycles of single direction at the time was just boring and completely unrealistic as well. Top tip tho, if you cut the corner and drive over grass, you will not get red light fine :P
You can also drive through crosswalks and wont get a ticket either
How do you turn off traffic offenses please? I can't find this setting option. 😢
@@emmajanemerryweather5349 the settings submenu is only available during gameplay: load the game, press esc, select settings->gameplay->traffic offences.
How does online work with playing with your buddies?
I have not played in a few months but fired it up for the space port DLC. I cannot remember what button ( on Xbox controller ) I need to press to get the ground to light up red\Green when digging. Anyone know?
Paving is easy, I would buy all the equipment and make a ton of money and then buy equipment for different jobs
With the fines, there's actually a bug with the traffic light system where, even if you stop and go normally on a light, there's a chance that when it turns green, it will still fine you for zero reason, even if you're not moving at all
I disabled traffic offenses.
The whole damn game is one big bug

I believe you gotta have your building to M or higher I don’t think you can get them in your building if you have a small company you gotta have like a Medium or higher company to get one if I’m not mistaken

I would really like to know some stats on the vehicles. which ones are better to buy over others. I know that the cheapest asphalt paver is bad because it likes to get stuck in the ground but it would also be nice to know things like bucket size and working width
I thought this but from what I’ve seen through experimenting most the capacities are the same. Bucket sizes on excavators, dump trucks, cement mixers. There’s no reason really to pick one over another. I don’t think that should be the case.
@@markygti138 That's what I've experienced as well. It's purely an aesthetic choice, for the most part. It would be nice if there were cheaper vehicles that technically did the same work, but not quite as good. Then you could trade them in for better versions as you get the money. That doesn't seem to be the case, though.

There was a similiar game to this on the phone and i so desperate to find it where you could buy new vehicles example like cement trucks and trucks that transport stuff and other things but i cant find the game

Question you can store vehicles can you store materials For like other jobs ?
soil, gravel and asphalt do not get stored that are in your truck. they just disappear. You can however store purchased materials in your warehouse (as in the stuff from builder's comp) for later use. for example - you are doing a big job with multiple material deliveries. You can use the long trailer to buy all your goods at once or what will fit on the flatbed, Take these to your yard and park in front of your warehouse. go to the door and press your key and them select to store whatever items you want to be used later. You have the option at the store to automatically deliver to your warehouse but for a delivery fee.

You just press start go into company go into vehicles go on the rented vehicle and return it

I would do it along side bulk material or after bulk material because you will be filling up your dump truck faster
question, i need to excavate a trench, it's a big T but I'm already digging for an hour and still so no green, almost can't reach it anymore, and only on 4%.
if i look at that i will be digging for 25RL time, I'm not sure I'm up to that lol.
do i do something wrong, already brought to dump trucks full to the gravel sell point.
I felt the same my first trench job. But in reality you need to dig deeper. you need to take off many layers. The bucket will only go down so far and stop. Scoop that up and re scoop same hole to you hit bottom. Bottom will be what looks like small rocks like a bedstone layer.
Me and my friend found a way faster way by using a Dozer. A dozer will push all the dirt in to a big gigantic pile. then just use the excavator to put the soil in your dump truck.
The first time to trench I spent 7 game days (8+ RL hrs) and only had 20% done. My friend comes online and while I was digger he said lets see if a dozer can help. Boy does it. We had the trench dug out in 2 RL hours.
6:06 how to find vehicle dealer??
Can you suggest to developers updating the game to where you can hire some NPCs (Workers that get paid either per job or permanently hired) to do some of the work for some players (like me) who don’t really play Multiplayer Online?
There already is that option, at least on xbox. It will allow me to hire a worker to do a task

@@andiemac5341 in the manual it says you unlock it after you complete the open campaign mission. You just bring up the context menu and click on the person icon to hire a worker. I have never used them before so I'm not sure what jobs they can all do
@@WSSRIOTCONTROL you meant the Foreman? Once you unlock the foreman he doesnt do any job for you. He unlocks the 2nd project slot instead which gives you the chance to work on 2 projectsbar the same time
@@andiemac5341 Nope not the Forman talking about employees. Like I said haven't actually used them so not sure if they work like the employees in farming sim or not
one question how do I get a helper it isnt showing on my game hud when I get in a vehicle. I like the helper when I play FM22 , I down loaded it from steam could the problem be in the interface vfrom steam? Thnks I hope you ansewr this. Great video.
First I have to say I love this game BUT I play on ps4 which I know isn’t the optimal platform but the game has quite a few bugs and glitches, it can’t keep up with the frame rate and the game crashes A LOT. I play maybe 3-4 hours a day and the game will crash at least 2-3 times at random during that time.
devs are working on the console issues and are to release update #2 sometime in Oct 2022,

Are the contracts that you refresh infinite? Or, do they run out at some point?
I believe they are finite. Devs posted in their timeline that more maps, contracts and DLCs coming in 2023.

the devs did that for a select group of YT gamers. I would also like to have an option to put in my own logo as well be able to logo the vehicles.
maybe in the future they will go that. but according to the timeline for 2022 and 2023 there is no mention for this. not even on the wish list yet.

Hello i was in your stream today and i got timeouted instantly bc (someone doesnt like MSC) i asked if you had played MSC after your youtube series
I haven’t done it yet , but for me they can ramp up those discounts when you drive your dumper all the way to the plant manually , it’s another incentive to do things manually , squirell seeing you as home of simulations , I can’t quite grasp , why you’re using fasttravel , it’s the same nonsense when 80 or 90 percent is digged and suddenly you’re done with certain steps ….
I know they have to appeal to casual gamers as well , but please give the realistic simulation fans the options to keep going till it’s done
Is there some cross over in the mechanics of this and GTA? The map looks similar and the way the characters move and drive etc.
gta5 was developed 9 years ago this seems like a sim game that graphics can be smoothed out a little

yes from what i have been told. Still the same types of jobs but not the exact same contracts. End game for USA is to build an amusement park and the Europe Map is to build a Castle.
Which campaign is it to unlock the second formen

I'm courious as to why the concrete pump trucks are not the same in the way the various lengths of tubes they utilize in getting the concrete to where it needs to be. Is as they are in real life. Real life pumper's when all the various lengths are fully extended form a letter though upside down, the letter "V". Two going up and two going down. The pumper's in this game, the second to the last tube which goes backwards in comparison to real pumper's, makes pumping concrete extremely difficult.

I have beem having problems with topsoil removal the percantage just doesen't go up.
Is this the parking lot job? Are you using the CAT 430F2 backhoe loader? IIRC didn't work with that, try to use larger wheel loader.
I've noticed that the case 2050M dozer does that job the best for me

I had this on a job. Ended up skipping that part.
In what world is 6,000 plus, 45% of 9,000 plus.
Has anyone else had the problem where you can’t upgrade to level M? I have unlocked everything in S and bought the new company premises. But it still shows a “?” On the map and will not let me through the gates. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. Also on PS4.
I have had the same issue on PS5. Still trying to figure out the issue.
Update: with the most recent update 1.006, the game let me upgrade to M.
