    I enjoyed this movie 🎥 very much, thank you for making it available.
    I love the old movies, between the 1930 - 1940. I didn't care too much for the '50 era. From then on seems like everything fell apart. Family structure, Moms weren't home anymore when kids got out of school.
    The 60's ☮️ (me included) were trying to find their heads. Wasn't that a crazy mixed up era.
    Well I finally found my head fortunately before my daughter was born, thank the Lord.
    Actually now that I'm thinking about it I love reading old books era 1800 thru the '40's. 🇺🇸

    The opening credits are somewhat unusual for a 1936 movie, in that the Director was listed last. That didn't become standard in US films until 1940.

    I love the fashions back then! The 30s, 40s and 50s had so much class...the suits, and hats...I wear suits and hats when I can, but we've become so casual, sloppy even. Now I see grown women in public...in their pajamas.
    We stopped caring about appearance. 😔
    Edit: I love the furnishings too! Every room so lovely. Now tackiness is the norm. I like real wood, rich fabric sofas, chairs and drapes. I haunt the thrift stores for such things.

      You nailed it. I've said the same thing for years. Our standards have dropped to Zero. Foreigners are overrunning the country. Political Correctness, the woke' movement, 'pride' parades, and corruption have destroyed all sense of morals and ethics. *And for THAT we pay crippling taxes.

I don’t care for Evelyn Brent and was amused at the “femme fatale.” That woman was no beauty. Jack LaRue is always fantastic. Really did enjoy this movie……thank you.

      S Douglas ... Too bad the audio is up and down, muffled and tainted by noise in the film's track.
      Can you possibly undo what the sound engineer/editor did 80 yrs ago?!😐😐
      I added some bass tones but wasn't enough...the treble tones in the audio washed out the inflections of voices and, therefore, the words.

    • @rickkartisable
      @rickkartisable 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hilary C ... It's not in the volume at all, Hillary Clinton.
      It's in a combination of the balances of the mics used, balance of bass/treble, the film's sound track itself (when recorded in the editing/transfer), plus yrs of damage to the sound track along the film itself.😕😕
