That’s not sweet. That’s depressing. Our economy is so bad that a family has to resort to child labor just to give their loved one the dignity of a proper burial
I lost my dad to cancer a few years ago and was surprised that the total funeral costs ended up being over $20,000. He had life insurance which paid for it all but it made me wonder about young families, when they lose a loved one, the instant financial hit of trying to give them a respectful goodbye must be just as stressful as the emotional pain of losing them. EVERYONE needs life insurance.
You also need to understand not everyone qualifies for a life insurance policy. Unless someone is in the military or a federal employee, no insurer is required to sell a policy to anyone they deem unsuitable. And that, my friend, excludes a LOT of people-think cancer patients, those with a history of SI-it pretty much encompasses any serious medical condition that could cause an earlier death. Some even refuse to sell policies based on genetic history (family history-you provide a specimen to their lab and they run a DNA profile so they know if your mama has heart disease). As a two time cancer survivor my only saving grace is being recently retired military with SGLI benefits. Otherwise I wouldn’t be insurable (note this is life, not health, insurance)
Hats off to this girl for organizing a fundraiser by selling lemonade to pay for her mom’s own tombstone. I’m also so sorry for her loss my condolences go out to her and her family
Difference is, GoFundMe could of raised them more money and probably quicker. This is just sad that she has to do this for money to pay for a funeral headstone.
What a heart warming story. It's wonderful so many showed up to help this family. I have an aunt that was like a mother to me & she also doesn't have a tombstone. It breaks my heart every time I go to visit. Wonderful little girl! ❤
You can tell she’s a hard worker that means business. Look at her taking an interview WHILE making a cup of lemonade for a customer. This precious little girl is going places ❤
This isn't inspiring this is sad. Her mom is dead and she has to sell lemonade to pay for her mother's burial? This country should be ashamed of itself.
@@carzia_speed2235Canada has really declined in recent years. It's honestly like a whole new country now where the government brought in a foreign population, pushing Canadians out or into poverty, and cost of living is insanely expensive.
Hats off to this little angel for such an effort despite being only 7yo. Her mom would be proud of her. Also shoutout to those that came just to support her lemonade fund raising.
As a lemonade lover, this is one of the most beautiful stories I've ever heard. It's real sweet seeing someone selling lemonade for good reasons, and not as a job alternative.
What a good kid she is! I’m sorry her mom died for whatever the cause was. This is a heartwarming story on making money properly for a tombstone. Those customers were inspired on spreading the love buying lemonade to buy for her mom’s tombstone. Way to go, kid!
How amazing of her, but also I cannot imagine the pain she is feeling with having lost her mother at this age. But at least she knows her mother will be proud of her wherever she goes.
I can’t imagine losing my mom that young. What a beautiful little girl and a beautiful community that stood with her in her time of need. I’m glad she didn’t have to use her lemonade money to pay for her mother’s tombstone. 😢❤❤️🩹
At 22 I unfortunately lost 4 friends in 6 months. As tragic as it was it at least taught me a valuable lesson on how expensive funerals, burials, and having one less income can be. Being young most of us don’t think about it but really look into getting life insurance. Not just for funeral expenses but the fact that your family is now going to have less money. I applaud this girl for having the stamina and motivation to start her lemonade stand. Also for the community to help her. But let this girl’s story be a lesson to the rest of us on how to avoid this in the future.
Anyone who lost a parent idc if it was your bio parents or whatever just know I love you all and wrap your arms around yourselves that’s me giving you a hug💐❤️

This has me crying like crazy, her moma is smiling and tears falling from heaven. Thats why it's raining outside right know from tears coming from heaven. Her moma done a good job raising her and she should be proud of herself. Thanks to all that helped this child to accomplish her goal. I know that she is filled with joy by doing and accomplishing what she set out to do. The love from this child for her moma, the donation from her headstone being donated and all those who bought her lemonade or just stopped to give support is what this world should be like and filled with. Well, this is dystopian as hell. Thanks, capitalism, for making a little girl have to sell lemonade to pay for her own mother's tombstone! It's a real great society we live in, sure is!
My mom died recently too, granted I'm considerably older than her so it's not as tragic, but my mom wanted to be cremated and I'm so happy she wanted that because the cost of death is just bonkers expensive. But I'm glad she got the tombstone donated so she can talk with her mom whenever she needs to.
While I commend the girl for what she's doing, this is not a sweet feel good story. This shouldn't even be on this little girl's mind. She should be able to honor her mother's memory without even having to think of money
Honestly the Funeral Business is greedy/shady as hell, As if its not bad enough losing a loved one now ya gotta bankrupt yourself to make sure they get decent last rights...theres no logical or moral reason it should cost 10-20k to get a Coffin a plot of land and a tombstone....no child especially at her age should have to do this ever, I hope her mother can Rest In Peace now and the family can grieve without that heavy financial burden and put the money towards giving this little angel all the happiness she deserves.
Such a shame to lose a parent that young, so nice to see people supporting her

You can be cremated for about 2k dollars. No need to spend thousands on a burial plot, coffin, tombstone, etc
I want to be sent to space
Well I'm not having a funeral.
Nobody would probably show up except for the guy on the backhoe
sounds like a lot of upgrades at the funeral home
