I'm not crazy knowledgeable on hip hop culture so take my opinion for what it's worth but I definitely feel like Eminem has always treated Kanye like a contemporary. The mentions of Kanye in this album are all fairly lighthearted and mostly touch on his mental health issues rather than personally attacking his character. Also I remember Rap God having a line "Whats a king to a God?" which was a direct response I think to Kanye and Jay Z's Watch the Throne where they basically crowned themselves the kings of rap lol.
Yeah I agree especially when he says on “Talkin’ 2 myself” he mentions he almost went at Kanye and lil Wayne who I believe he respects as well. But he’s never been shy to say he’s better than everyone 😂 You’re right about Kanye and jay z both proclaiming to be the king of rap. Good input here! 🤝
