Before all, great channel I subscribed, everything is well explained.
Anyway, I am an IT Specialist in my company. I saw the article on Forbes about the SAP Gap and so here I am.
My question is: What certification of these 3 would you recommend to someone like me (SAP Beginner). I saw that in my company they use SAP and I heard that they sometimes complain about SAP, they use SAP EPM and SAP BPC. I would like to grow in my company and I think a SAP certification would be a perfect way to do it. Do you think before proceeding in getting one of these certifications it's necessary to get an entry-level cert like SAP Certified Associate - Fundamentals or I can skip it? Also, do you think would be better to ask my company if they're willing to migrate to HANA's? Thank you in advance mate.

      Hi,
Thank you for your feedback, appreciate it.
Out of the three certificates I mentioned in the video, I would recommend the SAP Certified Technology Consultant - SAP S/4HANA System Administration certification. However, before doing the certification, it would be good for you to learn fundamental SAP administration topics such as an overview of SAP products, SAP application server architecture, different types of SAP basis administration transactions and how to use them, and also get some theoretical knowledge of SAP system installation, upgrade, system refresh. So you can take full advantage of the certification course or it might be overwhelming.
When it comes to SAP administration, practical knowledge is way more important than theoretical knowledge. My advice is to develop a good working relationship with the SAP administration team at your company and ask if you can help them with SAP administrative activities through which you can learn at a much faster phase.
Regarding the entry-level certificates, you don't necessarily need them. You can learn the basics through TH-cam videos and certain SAP websites which I have spoken about in many of my videos.
About asking your company to migrate to HANA, please note SAP HANA is a database and SAP S/4HANA is the latest SAP ERP application. Moving to HANA or S/4HANA is not an easy task and the migration might cost a few million dollars and a couple of years of planning and work. There is no harm in recommending though.
Hope this helps and wish you all the best.

Without taking the courses can we self-prepare and do the certification exams?

Of course you can. You will be fine as long as you cover all the lessons from which the questions will be asked.
