I went to the infamous taping of the Up In Smoke (Cheech and Chong) movie, where The Germs performed and then were cut from the movie. I also saw them at the first punk club in L.A., the Masque in Hollywood. Even if you're just curious about this band, you'll find this video entertaining and informative.
