I rented one of these from Hertz this week (from Denver airport for a ski trip). I've rented dozens of vehicles over the years and this may be the best I've ever driven. It handles extremely well and has lots of pick up. The driver's seat is one of the most comfortable I've experienced. I'm using the Titanium model. It's so good I might buy one sometime in the future.
We love our 2022 Ford Titanium. Have had it since last March. Really wanted a Telluride, but was NOT going to pay the stupid markups they were asking. Actually got a deal -- $3500 off of MSRP, and then got another $1K off, since I bought it "New", per the paperwork, but then realized that the dealer had "loaned" it to a customer to drive, while her Bronco was being repaired. Sales did not know, and "odometer form" said 5 miles, not the actual 700 miles. They mailed me a check. An awesome vehicle. Only issue we have, is waiting for an APIM to resolve the Bluetooth connectivity that drops every now and then. Since Ford has been waiting for the part, the dealer has been supplying me with loaners, and Ford has rebated one of my payments. We have it back now, and it is still amazing. BUY ONE !!!
my parents rented one because they went on a trip out of state, and i went to my grandmas so i was lucky enough to ride in the rental car (the 2022ford edge). im not usually into ford products but the seats were comfortable, and i loved the fact that both the driver and passenger has their own a/c they can adjust. my mom owns a 2022 hyundai tucson, so im pretty jealous that doesnt have the individual a/c controls. it also drove pretty smoothly, only roughly when there was an insane amount of wear on the road
Too bad it’s being discontinued! 2022 last year. I have 2015 bought it brand new ecoboost sel have over 106,000, just do the normal maintenance, it has gotten my family of 4 all over the country and to my work.
I have a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black for a little bit over a year. My sister’s vehicle is a 2013 Ford Edge in white. She inherited her vehicle from my mother.
Love the look of the tires! I own a 2017 Edge Titanium and the OEM Pirelli tires are at the end of their lifespan. What brand are the ones in this video?
I have a 2018 Ford Edge Titanium with the optional 3.5 L V6 . This option is no longer available which is disappointing. I opted for a Ford Explorer for the next vehicle.
I agree...test drove a Ford Titanium...not impressed with the 4 cylinder engine...only model ST has a 6 cylinder engine and the dealer is charging $5,000 mark up fee...no thinks
The Edge is a pretty decent vehicle. I have the 2010 SEL, 3.5 duratec. Keeping the coolant changed solves the poor water pump inside timing chain housing design issue. Do Not buy the ecoboost. It is not a good engine, it will fail. small cylinder engine with poor cooling port design shall result in coolant intrusion, added high pressures of GDI and turbo is a guarantee. If you already have one... baby it, or sell it. In this current used car market you will be surprised what people will pay.
Ecoboost is not reliable in the early phase, it is understandable because the new technology. Actually now days the ecoboost is good. Almost all major auto makers have adopted the turbo and GDI.
@@chelsea7xhf You can't change physics with technology. High pressures in a small cylinder will fail. there is no longevity. cams, bearings, seals gaskets and the crank will wear prematurely and fail. It was developed for higher mileage, and that's why more are doing it. It's not because its good....because it isn't. The mileage tests are a joke. a random test done on a dyno. Real life driving is totally different and high mileage claims are out the window. You're left with a failing engine and a monthly payment.
@@mikeyoung6347 What are you talking about, the engine block, cams, bearing are all changed, none of the naturally aspirated engine components can be directly carry over to ecoboost engine. The physics definitely changed!
Is the ford edge gonna come in vignale version for the UK ,, I have one 2017 model but I tell you this ,, it's the best car I've ever owned ,, and love to get a newer version in a year or 2 👍👌
I'm thinking it's probably because this is their "off road" version. And that it may have something too do with increased ground clearance. Though i think this is just an "aesthetics package". As i don't see any protective under cladding as most off road oriented vehicles have.
I recently traded in a 2016 titanium fwd edge for a 2022 sel edge awd and my initial impressions are two. The car seems peppier has more acceleration, that may be a transmission upgrade thing. The other thing is loss of MPG. From 29 to 26, so far in the same driving I did with the 2016. Don't know if that is due to the all wheel drive drag or maybe another transmission thing?
2025 will be the last year model for the Edge. Just traded my 2007 SEL 1st Gen with 170k miles for a 2018 Titanium. It was a big step up. Still learning all its features. Hate to see Ford discontinue the Edge only because they are focusing on EV. Only when AF 1 flies on battery power will I even consider an EV. It won't happen in my life time.
@@buffalobmf it’s 21 city and 28 highway. I own one. To get the best fuel economy you need to put in eco mode. And in summer or hot weather and need for air conditioning it drops it even more. It’s not bad for a big SUV but it’s not great fuel economy like a compact SUV typically gives, but again it’s over 5,000 pounds and a 3 row so it’s to be expected.
@@watchreport yea i own one too and getting 25mpg with it and drive a mix, mostly city. im going off what ford puts their mpg as like everyone else does
Not everyone needs a 7 seat vehicle, the Edge base model is more expensive because its more loaded, looks are subjective, the Edge ST is plenty capable and the Edge doesnt have all the problems most every Explorer has. How many models of Explorers have been recalled? Ive lost count. They are garbage,.
Getting a 2019 Ford Edge SEL next week. Cannot wait to get it!

We just bought a 2023 Edge SE. It's iconic silver with the black appearance package. My wife and I love it. It's a quantum leap over our 2010 CRV.
Edge is by far the best SUV by Ford.
I beg you pardon?
Have had my edge for 10 years now and will definitely buy another one when I have to.
We just bought one and love it! Drove a 2000 Explorer for 16 years and the 2022 Edge has way more room all around!

I ordered and got my Edge on August 16-2022 and love it. I traded in my 2014 Explorer for it. I think it's about 8'' shorter than the Explorer...

Thanks for your input as i am contemplating purchasing a Ford Edge Titanium.
Missing the front parking sensor unless option the parallel parking pkg is very annoying

They are discontinuing this model next year. Go figure !!!
Better look up the engine issues on the ecoboost motors before buying one of these! Very frustrating that Ford hasn't issued a recall!!
Please be more specific as i am contemplating purchasing an Edge Titanium soon..thanks for helping

I really wished they offered an upgraded phev version with 20 kw pack it would be class leading and offer most commuters ev range to work
What did they point the exhaust pipes down. What a terrible mistake. I see a lot of cost cutting compared to my 2017. No covered cubbies etc

I don't see an auto brake hold button on the shifter console. Is it hidden on the "big screen" ?

Very nice in all trims
Do these still have the stupid built in water pump?
No
Its mine kind of car iwould like to get myself one this car
The interior is marred by that ugly oversized iPad, but so are a lot of vehicles.
I hear the Edge will be discontinued after 2023. Will there be a replacement??
Really? They just upgraded the interior center screen on 2021 model. Usually the Mid cycle upgrade will last few more years.
Perhaps am explorer sport

Remember when driver distractions were bad thing? Yeah let’s now have a giant screen in the middle with a sketch pad. 🙉
It’s no Taurus
The second gen Edge is better looking
Also, the interior is definitely NOT modern. The design is not elegant and didn't feel premium at all
JA in Deutschland der Ford Kuga, 🤗
you really can't buy =one

2015 suv with an iPad inside….. I mean….
My old 07 Sorento is a 100 times better than my new pos Edge
Now they're getting rid of the Edge. *Facepalm*
No reason to at all. The explorer is bigger, cheaper base model and better looking and a more powerful ST model
