  • @mariellaarroyo3825

    I have been saying this for such a long time. I got into a discussion with my mother the other day. She said she does not regret her bad financial decisions because she is healthy and has family that loves her, so she is still blessed. That is absurd! All poor people always say the same thing. That they know someone who is financially succesful but is miserable in their spiritual lives, and at least they have something that miney cant buy. That is just an excuse to make themselves feel better. Its bullshit! Why not have it all? Lets those wealthy people work on what they are lacking in relationships, while you take control of your financial situations. Thats how I ended that conversation.

    • @hellomate639
      @hellomate639 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mariella Arroyo The best way to do it is to not place _too much_ value on the money so that you're not so stressed out about outcomes and taking risks, which keeps you thinking rationally.
      You can go after money while still having contempt for it - and to me that would make life the easiest.
      You should always own your mistakes, however, because that is how you stop making them.

    • @hanswurscht6625
      @hanswurscht6625 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, that is exactly the problem. i think it's pretty natural not to look for the opportunities in such a discussion, but to defend your fails. i've had the problem myself alot of times, until i realized this and started to change something. nowadays, i can just say: "yes, i fucked it up. sorry! whats next?" you dont have to defend everything, just accept that you sucked and try to improve (if necessary).

      Yeah, my mum is similar to this. She sees success and wealth as if it is in a different realm to ours. She has always thought this way and it is no wonder, she is in her 40's and never worked (apart from a short time when she was a teenager), she has never been abroad and has said she's not bothered about seeing other countries. It is almost like in her mind the world of success and wealth is an unattainable far away dream, and all of these successful people and amazing experiences are something that, she has never woken up and realised, is possible for herself. She would be destined to be that way forever if it wasn't for me. I am helping her to wake up but it is infuriating trying to help someone with a deeply ingrained self limiting mindset.

    I love this! As a poor person slaving myself with my skill, I paint houses. And I get by in life. But as a potential well paid for doing what I really love, I write and create music. I may be between worlds but the funny thing is with my two humble channels here, I face two possible realities! Both are growing better than I expected. I have learned one thing out of my experiences and that is rich people have a better vision of possibilities! People who know me call me a dreamer! But it's better to have your dream and build your life upon that than just becoming a brick in someone else's! Thanks for these tips!!

      Very good. Stay away from people who call you things. There are so many channels on TH-cam that wil guide you. So much is in our thinking. You have to visualize, and
      be grateful, these will raise your vibration. Expect it to come, and thank the Universe/God/Source always. Don't say if, say when. Abraham Hicks, Wayne Dyer,
      Louise Hay, Landria Onka,
      Juliet Cleary
      Mary Kate - "the Universe is filled with abundance, just ask for it." We can't hate, or think bad thoughts about life and others. Keep raising your vibration, and watch things
      happen. This is indeed a beautiful, awesome world!! And you were created for a very special reason by Source !

      Poor people like to use the legal mafia (government) to steal from the rich so it can give it to them. Rich people want the legal mafia out of the way so they can serve their customers better.

    • @AlainOgura
      @AlainOgura 7 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      True. There's welfare for the rich too. Some companies use the government to eliminate their competition. It's called crony capitalism.
      Crony capitalists receive welfare in the form of regulations and poor people receive them in the form of welfare.
      There needs to be a distinction between the rich: capitalists and crony capitalists. The later describes the cunts you're talking about.

    I grew up poor and on welfare. This video is spot on. I am in the process of starting my second business. It's hard work. Most of the people I grew up with think I'm crazy, and would rather just blame the system for their lots in life. When I succeed at my goals, they often hate on me and say I got lucky. A few are not so ignorant. But many of them are stuck, and will never advance, merely because of many of the things you pointed out in this video.

    Wow! This book is actually the first book that I've read that literally changed my paradigm. It was as if my mind was blown away. I use this book as a reference on a daily basis. I've tried to convince a lot of people to read it but I realize that most of them has the "Poor" mentality in which they think they know already the content of the book. You know, the "I know everything" sickness. Anyway, I'm really grateful that you've posted this book review. It's really easy to understand and a lot of people can access it. THANK YOU. Keep it up!

    Thats exactly fucking right and I never could understand when people talk about, Especially Family,... .. Money is not important or dont focus so much about money. YET, Everything they do daily that they hate.. Sitting in traffic, waking up tired, rushing back and forth to make it to the office on time, complaining about Bills etc.. They all do it for Money. When i began my Investment business, I was focused and driven to make a financial change in my life. I hated working a job. My family told me not to be so "obsessive" about money. In reality i was focusing on building an asset for myself and doing away with working 9 -5 (more like 7 - 6 nowadays). Its so fucking ridiculous the way most people think.

      uzernam3 Same I've been saving up for my future plans...I even started working a shitty 9 to 5 job just so I can save up more money but my mum is just plain ignorant. She is like "don't worry about money work and do your education". However she starts asking money off me saying she has to pay debts. Well, I was dumb enough to give her money. After 2 months asked her did she pay off all her debts. She is like no and buys a new TV and car...so the money I worked for was shit we didn't need..! Poor mentality is real...they only complain about depts and make more depts...just rely on yourself and invest for your future.

And for those hating on the posts, I am a Senior Marketer in a Telecom company, that makes over $2bn revenue per year.I have learnt a lot In my years on the job, but no life lessons come close to what "Fighting Mediocrity" and a couple of books have taught me.

    these are on point. couldn't help but notice the guy who read Tolstoy was the same guy you used for your dad. intentional? it's actually common for people to go the opposite of their fathers, out of spite, and they get consumed by it. so they basically live a life that's got more to do with proving themselves they are 'better than' their parents. And with that, forgetting about real relationships. they just are consumed by trying to be better, because somehow they resent their parents for not doing better. classical mistake. equally as bad, just on the other end of the spectrum.

    • @sergiobretonmba5225
      @sergiobretonmba5225 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      1.-I agree with Tijmen J, there is no point in resenting our parents. They taught us what they thought was good and lived their life the best they could. If we find a way of living life that suits us better, great! That will even make them proud!
      2. I would not hate other people's mentality, even if it is wrong, I would rather try to be empatic and supportiive. 3. Anyways, most of the information presented is very valuable and presented in a cool way. Thanks for sharing

It gives hope that with a mindset shift we can all change and get closer to the success we seek and the future we hope to attain. It starts with an open mind, baby steps and ability to listen and learn. Kudos for honest talk with good intentions!

    • @samgoode2274
      @samgoode2274 7 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Hahaha! Couldn't agree more! Tell them:
      Do you know how much food you could have given to the poor with YOUR car!
      Do you know how much food you could have given to the poor with YOUR house!
      Do you know how much food you could have given to the poor if you didn't buy that useless and unhealthy snack last time?
      Do you know how much food you could have given to the poor if you sold everything you had?
      I'll tell you how much food you could have given, not as much help as Bill Gates IS giving to the poor.
      Sure he might have a fancy mansion that could feed thousands of the poor, but in the end, he's giving more to the poor than you ever did.

      David Lawrence Carspotter couldn't agree more. I wouldn't care much about them. There's no harm in rewarding yourself now, is there? Especially since transportation is somewhat important for getting to places and making opportunities lol. I'd suggest balancing the thought with 'incline more to making assets than liabilities'.

      ***** Thanks! I'm not willing to be proud of myself for just wanting to do something, but shifting my world-view and allowing myself to strive for greatness makes my future look much brighter, and much scarier at the same time.
      Being able to admire and not resent people who are successful has been such a breath of fresh air. It's like a weight fell off my chest and the world has shifted into focus again. That's the feeling of layers of rationalizations dissipating. It's a feeling all of us should chase.

    My judgment of your delivery of this message doesn't matter. I do appreciate the video. I also am currently working to shed the poverty mentality that was programmed into me. It's working slowly. I'm not where I used to be, thank God!
    I was raised by a woman that grew up in the Great Depression. Her whole life is lack. And that's what she taught me by default. It's not her fault and I am happy to share my increases with her. She still can't believe it but I know it's because we deserve better, always have and now the flow feels like a permanent state of being.

    Ok, so i got an email from my dad about two months ago with a link to a video about your favourite books (actually it was his autoreply, recommending everyone who wrote him to watch it); some I had already read, the other I read by now (albeit some I didn't finish as they didn't speak to me that much - specifically the 4h work week, where I got the concept, I liked it, but just felt it didn't fit with my life enough, even though the concept behind it rings true). Tonight I stumbled upon your animated videos and your channel by accident, as it came up as a suggested video after a TED talk I watched. It's the first time I ever left a comment, even though many videos in the past have captured my mind and/or emotions. Why I want to leave a comment is to thank you! After stumbling on you videos I couldn't put down the phone, watching more of your videos, instead of reading (which I usually do at this time). I think your take and your animations are fantastic and sincerely thank you for providing this meaningful and helpful content! Specifically this video, about how poor people manage their money versus the rich, is one of the best visualizations I have ever seen on money management. I wish more 'poor' people will see this, get over their initial mindset and learn... again, thank you for this meaningful content in a world full of disinformation!

      @@tindo7147 I know that, as I am already rich (top 2% in 2018; only top 10% in 2019, so sue me). Poor people don't know that, as my fellow rich people have convinced them they are beholden to the rich, and must cower and be thankful for every dime. That low-wage labor lines the pockets of the richest of us through stocks that just keep on keepin' on. I do feel kinda guilty about that, but I figured out long ago I might as well bet on poor people not figuring it out, and I won big. Maybe they'll figure it out eventually and demand a chance to get back into the middle class...which might even boost the economy and my returns on investment. But, whatever.

      The problem is, you can't just "help the poor people". In order to get help, one must be open and receptive to the very idea of being opposed, to have one's beliefs and ideologies broken down and questioned.
      Most poor people won't let you do that, so why bother?
      This video is a great help already though, reviewing books which will help people help themselves.
      All in all, in order to get help and improve one self, one have to be open, receptive, seeking, questioning and thinking.
      my 2 cents

      I tried this with one friend, but unfortunately the sad reality is you can’t help somebody who doesn’t want to change.

      Thats a very nice thought. I agree with your message, that we should at least try to expose them to a new mentality. But at the same time, it is very hard for poor people to take up this new mentality because as mentioned in the video, Point 8: Poor people think they already know.

    I also hate the poor mentality. It doesn't achieve anything. If everyone thought that way, there would not be any new innovations and definitely less charities.
