I headed down to Wolverton station on a chilly Friday evening to catch the "Friday Charter" special operated by LSL. The set runs from Crewe to Euston down the Trent Valley route and returns from London to Manchester, via Birmingham at 17:42. It'll continue to do this until early December. Fares are £75 on the day.
On this particular day, Intercity livery 87002 was doing the work.
As well as that set some of the WCML regulars. Avanti West Coast Pendolinos and London North Western 350's plus a 319 set. The days of 319's on the WCML are numbered so get them while you can.
4x Freights. GBRF 66702, Freightliner 66952, DB Schenker (EWS) 66181 & 66149

It’s full speed for them because they can tilt. So 125

Wolverton passengers have to make do with travelling on the slow train.
A lot of fast trains going through the station but none of them ever stopping there.
