We start from the previous delivery in Chesapeake, VA via local streets to I-64. Then East on I-64 (Hampton Roads Beltway) around the Southside of the Hampton Roads to I-664. Then North on I-664 (Hampton Roads Beltway) to US-13/US-58/US-460. Then West/South on US-13/US-58/US-460 to US-58 in Suffolk. Then West on US-58 thru Emporia to I-85. Then South on I-85 into North Carolina and thru Oxford and into the Research Triangle Metro Area and thru Durham and eventually into the Triad Metro Area (while merging with I-40) and thru Greensboro (while merging with I-73) and into the Charlotte Metro Area and thru Charlotte (while passing by Charlotte-Douglas Int'l Airport) and Gastonia and into South Carolina to local streets. Then on local streets back to the shipper in Cowpens, SC to drop the empty trailer before going back onto local streets as Bobtail Bob back to I-85. Then North on I-85 to the QT Truck Stop in Gaffney, SC where Steve ends for the day and awaits for a new trip that'll take him closer to home.
I64 and I664 when the Monitor-Merrimack Bridge Tunnel was completed, the road became the Hampton Roads Beltway. Another bit of history; US 58 was a deadly road west of Suffolk to Emporia, before being widened to 4 lanes. It was nicknamed "Suicide Strip" for its many headon collisions. The entire portion was finished around 1990
