  • The boom on this dozer has been cracked for some time so i decided to weld it up. Hopefully this stops or slows the cracking. The other reason I did this was to keep water out of the boom. I wish I had better rods to weld with because they set out in that old pole barn for some time. The rods had some rust on them but I got them to work good enough for my repair.

I had a 450B for a long time and was always welding one thing or another but it served me well. It had a winch which was nice. I moved to another state and sold it, but do miss it. Steering clutches were not hydraulic and the biggest problem and really the reason that I let it go. I enjoyed your video.

I love the winch on mine. That thing made me lots of money when I was logging. Yeah the dry clutches on the older ones can be a headache from what I hear. That’s why I went with the C model. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for watching. I wish I had better rods because I didn’t like the way them welds laid down and looked but it’s good for now.

A new one would be many many thousands lol. We use 220-240 here in our houses in the US for cooking stoves, water heaters, washing machines and dryers. Everything else inside is 110volt.
