Please don't ever remove this! I had the chance to see them live in Tennessee and didn't go because I'm an introvert. Kicking myself for being an idiot. Life's too short to miss bands like this live!
I've seen White Denim 4 times now. Not enough! Saw them first time around in this format when they toured the UK with the album 'D'. Sadly the drums weren't up in the mix 😡 Me being a drummer as well ☹ Still a great band but this is their high point. Maybe Joshua and Austin will.come back. Why the hell they left to join Leon Bridges God alone knows....
This line up was so, so special. They were absolutely amazing, smashing the heck out of it. I hope they know how specia and well loved these performances are x
Got to see these guys with Manchester Orchestra in Nov.11. Pretty awesome band. The bass played looked 13 at the time. Hope to catch them on the next go around.
+Dylan Shure I've been trying for the better part of a decade to find anyone who sounds even remotely like them, and who can even compare when it comes to musicianship. Thus far I've had zero luck.
Why the comparison to Leon Bridges? All guys in White Denim did in regards to Bridges was encourage him to get recorded. At least that's how I remember it.
Austin plays rhythm guitar for Bridges. The comments are in reference to his guitar work with White Denim compared to how and what he plays with Leon Bridges. It's night and day musically. I should have mentioned that in the original post. Didn't mean to knock Leon Bridges.
Oh, OK. Sorry for any confusion my question may have created. Bridges is a modern day Sam Cooke. Two entirely different genres...but given WD's propensity to simply throw down and jam for the simple sake of creating music, I can see why guys in White Denim basically implored Bridges' to get signed and recorded ASAP.
Wow - a major musical journey through many bands there. That was really lovely stuff, I heard a bunch of influences and musical 'echoes', especially that ending. Don't you know you can't play stuff like that any more ? :-D
@TheMozzer94 Has been one of my favorite bands for the past couple of months...What other bands are you into right now? One I can suggest to you is Tame Impala.
goddamn it's nice to see people recommending other bands here rather than commenting on why they like or dislike the band or performance..... if you don't like it move on, i've done it a million times... I don't like a lot of bands out there, but I know and respect what it takes to create and play music so if you like it promote it...... If you don't move on, don't bring your incompetant/unrespected opinion into the mix, its irrelevant and creates nonsensical arguments
This is a great band! Heard them three years ago and have been loving their stuff ever since. Especially D, which seems to have sections similar to the style of their first album. Only problem is, I can't recommend any similar bands. I've never heard anything else quite like white denim!
Oh my fucking god yes. White Denim, Tame Impala and Wolf People are easily my three favourite bands right now. Especially in the realm of underrated bands. They should all be 1000x more well known than they are. Particularly Wolf People. My favourite band of the last 30 years (I'm only 22... but I mean nothing since the 70's has been better.)
Wow. can't place the sound. but its good. sorta Mothers meets veryearly Yes + Quicksilver - - but thats subject to change (just love austin sounds and psych fest bands) - Black Angels led me here

Josh Block is a very underrated drummer. Great stuff here.
I miss the old lineup. These guys are incredibly talented.

I concur! 🙏
7:59 I don't think I'll ever get over how good this fill is
One of the best bands in the world right now....Excellent musicians. Complex songs. Outstanding fellas
White Denim is just musically superior to a lot of bands out there right now. Musical taste is subjective, yes...but these guys are just better.
So underappreciated in this day and age, Unreal, so good.
One of my favorite contemporary bands!!!
I love it when I find cool songs I don't remember adding to my TH-cam favorites. Good work, Drunk Me, you found a good jam.
great live version of river to consider! this band is great! checking them out in philly in like 2 weeks. cant wait for the new album too
I miss hearing Austin Jenkins shred!
You guys are on fire! So glad this was broadcast and posted! FANTASTIK

The guitar solo at the end of River to Consider is fucking BAD ASS!
White Denim are absolutely fucking fantastic. musically brilliant and they clearly absolutely love doing what they do. should be massive
been listening to these guys for a while. cant find anything likem. dont know whether thats a good thing or a bad thing...

Couldn't agree more. This was a MONSTER lineup.
Looking forward to seeing them play live again at the Village Underground on november 20th,it's been too long

you said it friend! If you are talking like classic rock n roll sound then they epitomize it these days. and that is a good thing
This lineup was a gem. Can’t really care for anything that came from them after.
@et720 good call on tame impala, wolf people might fit the bill too
@TheMozzer94 Nice I'll check 'em out...you should also check out Lumerians and Obits if you haven't already.
@et720 Yer i definitely will thanks man.
I'm seeing these guys with tame impala and the flaming lips I'm soo fucking excited

Respect
I like when Christian Bale takes Gibson and makes funny faces when playing awesome!
Jesus... Every single musician in this band shines. This is intimidating shit.
yes...
Check out The Buffalo Killers and Mount Carmel
Wow. can't place the sound. but its good. sorta Mothers meets veryearly Yes + Quicksilver - - but thats subject to change (just love austin sounds and psych fest bands) - Black Angels led me here
check out blitzen trapper too
pond is solid
how? curious?
No love for the bassist eh? It's like nobody noticed he was even there until the second track.
Steve's a real ace!
drums alone aren't supposed to make me feel this way..mmmmmmmm
I recommend Jagwar Ma
am i the only one that thinks 'jimi hendrix experience'
No.
good to hear
Charlie Burnham james is a big jimi hendrix experience fan so im sure they influenced WD
s music. Love White Denim. Such a sick band
yeah its cool to see there are still bands like this around
Pond is way cool. They just released a song Giant Tortoise that's way good.
Puts us to shame.
Dungen, The Amazing, Tame Impala
You wanna own your confusion
