There was some confusion about the wording of their social media post but it looks like the update will NOT be happening this week... Tbh, it seems strange they'd do this for simply releasing a couple trailers and the patch notes.
Maybe they're going to do something similar to the Showcase last year and perhaps release an updated roadmap?

The main issue with the wording is that in the same tweet there is already a first look at the update in form of a teaser trailer.
Well, I really was hoping for Gladstone. He would have been a first insentive to get the DLC. Oswald - at least for me - is another reason to not get it.
Prior to this latest tweet/post. It was pretty much clear that we would be getting SOMETHING an update OR Expantion pack this Wendesday. This newest teeet/post is the ine stating that we are getting just a trailer.
There was a lot of confusion about the wording for sure. They clarified in the comments yesterday that they were going to release a “first look” trailer on Wednesday.

Would be cool if we got a first look on Wednesday and the update on Friday. That's how they did it last time with a first look then it came out 2 days later

Its a bit irresponsible for them to never give at least a ballpark timeframe for release dates; "early spring" etc isnt helpful.
It’s odd because why would they break the news about the Oswald this early? Especially if this is just a “stay tuned” spoiler. Either way I’m off this Thursday and I can’t wait to play! Plus. Where’s Daisy?

Aye, the wording was very much open to interpretation and maybe they meant for that. I guess it is better in the long run to have it launch later, as opposed to being churned out early or before they are completely ready and it's full of bugs, glitches etc. Either way, it's going to be amazing when it does release, we'll be so happy, we won't care. I am sooooo happy about it being Oswald, he is who I wanted it to be and I think with him being the reason Mickey exists and is how it all started, then it's only right it should be him at this stage in the game. Plenty of time to get figment, genie etc. Oswald will bring such cool, interesting features I think, like the whole black and white aesthetics, endless opportunities here.

Well, since there is no update this week.. and there’s no new dreamsnap theme according to the leakers.. what we saying the repeat week for dreamsnaps is? I swear to god if it’s another theme park showcase I’m deleting the game🤣
I also think the poster will be one big poster by the end of the next expansion pass update, which will advertise the whole dlc with all its characters. Instead of 3 different posters I guess. Act one front and centre with Gaston, Rapunzel and Eve. Act two on right with Oswald and what looks like a new black and white capybara companion. Then act three on left with most likely Jafar to fill that blank space. Which does make good cover art that showcases the entire dlc, but it still would’ve been neat if Oswald had his own little poster aswell which just showcases this update rather than the whole dlc. Maybe later on this week? Idk tho.
I’m guessing we will be getting Daisy confirmed on Wednesday and everything else she comes with like the touch of magic shop, mailbox system and the Starpath theme, aswell as the official date for the update. That is what I’m guessing they meant by getting a first look of the update on Wednesday, I’m not exactly sure tho because my god they word things with such difficulty these days😅

They responded to some questions on Twitter to clarify that there will be a “first look” trailer releasing on Wednesday. Both updates will come out at the same time, we just don’t know when!

They are releasing an in depth look at both the free content update and the expansion update on Wednesday. The updates will most likely roll out next week.
@jamiegames2022 that's wot I thought for next Wednesday but we never know wot is going on with disney dreamlight valley Advertisement people say something else and the rest of them say on Wednesday like they did with other update showing skull rock but that never happened and it would have given us a date for the update but it just says Wednesday
I have the other island but i can't tell how to get that door to get oswald
