I was struggling to learn German but now success, today I just watched your accusative lesson, then went to search your lessons with sequences. Now I think I will be able to learn German. I am writing this in between when was listening alphabet lesson or we can say lesson 1 of A.1.1. Please keep up by giving us more and more lessons.
All the umlaut letters are hard for me! I have to listen to you night and day to pronounce them right. I will start German language course next week, happy I found your channel.💙
Just found your channel, by accident, and it seems that you have a very different teaching style than most, with the right mix of German with just enough English, and some unique ways of explaining things!
Recientemente me ha surgido la inquietud de aprender el idioma Alemán, y hace un tiempo ví un video de este canal y me gustó mucho el contenido así que lo guardé para cuando quisiera adentrarme al idioma, y creo que hoy es el tiempo.
I'm glad that I found your channel. Vielen Dank für die Lektionen!!! Also, for me the alphabet and the pronunciation, I found it easy. Since I'm French and English, I found the German language easy since there are a lot of English and French words.=D
Thanks for the videos man. I've watched several of them and they are really useful. I am a teacher too, and I think you are a good one. I'll be looking forward for more videos.
The oh umlaut is the hardest for me. The "R" is actually pretty easy since it's pronounced the same in french and french is my native language. Thank you for this video it was very helpful 😊
I'm a student from Sri Lanka, at this moment I'm so glad to have a nice teacher like u and ur guidance is really fabulous 🙂 I'm gonna watch all the videos 😊😇
Hallo Luzi, I just wanted to let you know hoe much I enjoy your channel. You are a wonderful teacher and you have helped me improved through understanding rather than just rote learning. Thank you!!!
Hey there, I have felt the same way, but I am aggravated I did keep going when I first started. Just keep going. I know you will be glad you did. Good Luck.
Good job , my first time here I have learnt new pronunciation I have struggled for long but you are a great teachers The Umulant for me I need more practice
guten tag! I was looking for some good videos that can help me with my German language.and i found this channel. hope someday I will be able to get a excellent feedback for my learning journey.. this video is a big help for me even though I have been on my online class for the german language..
Hallo I’m Keegan I studied German back in high school and still have problems with the rolling my R’s I remember if my professor taught me the technique you provided in this lesson though I repeat that segment a couple of times to try and hear the sound the R is supposed to make I don’t quite have it down but I’m definitely determined to master it, thank you so much for you’re lessons much appreciated.
I didn't struggle with any of the German alphabets that much yet. I am learning Russian and after Russian German seems easier than it may have been if I had started German first. I am also finding that there's many similarities between German and English. In fact, Old English sounds a lot like german.
Hey! I knew this is an old video but I will still ask. I am learning Russian as well right now and I would love to know if you have any tips to share or websites/TH-cam channels that helped you.
I find R is the hardest letter to pronounce. Your way of explaining how it’s “not” supposed to sound like and facing straight to the camera while pronouncing makes it so much easier to grasp or understand. But I still don’t know how it’s expected to sound like in other words, though.
I personally find the difference between O and U a bit difficult (because they sound quite different in my native language) and was surprised to see Ü and Ö sound the same to many people, I figured it is because we have Ö in my native language so I am very used to the sound. I tried finding something that could help and realized that it actually does sound quite similar if you are not used to it. I found this, which I think might be helpful: www.thegermanprofessor.com/how-to-pronounce-o-and-u/ It has some written explanation to the differences, and also a lot of sound-examples.
American English is my native language, and after thinking about it a little, we may not use all these sounds in actual conversation, but we still make these sounds without even thinking about it. Words don't always express things adequately; sometimes, the sounds we make convey what we're feeling, and some of those sounds happen to be strictly German. From my point of view, then, there's no reason to panic about German pronunciation if you were born and raised in the United States. I hope this helps.
Just started to whatch your videos from the beginning and I hope to learn a lot in this Month! The hardest letters for me till now are the special ones ä ö and ü but further on with practice it will not be a problem anymore 😅
being a native indonesian learning english and mandarin while also reading the qur'an which is basically old poetic arabic actually made reading these alphabets easier for me haha, the hardest for me would be the ö.. Context: some words are similar to english (i mean of course obviously), indonesians read the alphabets with an "e" instead of an "i", the "ü" exists in the chinese language and the "R" when used in front of a word is read similarly like the arabic character "خ" (Kha/Kho)
10:28 According to Theodor Siebs' "die deutsche Bühnenaussprache" (1898), the Standard German pronunciation for the letter "r" was a rolled-r. Nowadays, only the Bavarian people and the Swiss practise it. Some German singers employed this rolled "r" when they pronounce German words. They are Heino and Roy Black. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%BChnendeutsch
Vielen Dank, Luzi. I am an American wer ab und zu in Deutschland gewohnt hat and I learned German living with my German cousins. Problem ist, ich kenne die Artikel nicht und deshalb mache ich viele fehler when I try to figure out the sentences. I was not taught Nominativ, Akkusativ or Dativ. Ich finde es sehr schwer jetzt in meiner Alter zu lernen, aber I think that your videos are really great! Ich mache es jetzt nur als Hobby, aber es macht viel Spass. The letter that I struggle with the most is "r". It gives me a sore throat. Ha. Thanks again. I highly recommend your videos.🙌

Sir guten Tag . I love your gestures specially face expressions. In this class I found difficult to pronounce umlaut oe . Other thing everything is clear und vielen Danke.
Thank you! This video was very helpful. It helps me practice my pronunciation. I find that I struggle with some German word endings. Such as the endings -d, -g, -ig. Will you be making a video about pronunciation in these ways, too? Thanks!
Thank you Michelle! :) about the endings you struggle with: generally speaking try to pronounce the last letter of each word stronger than the other letters. this helps your listeners to understand you properly as there are lots of similar endings with only small differences. That you will see once you get to the adjective endings. That said, the -d you can pronounce almost like a -t. a soft t. the -g ending is mostly seen with -ung or ig. ung you dont pronounce the g and for -ig there are actually 2 ways to pronounce it. the first is the more common way and pronounced like a "ich" A good training for this are the numbers. watch my video "Numbers 20-100". But if you want you can also pronounce it like a "ik". In Austria and Switzerland the -ig will be pronounces like "ik". So if this is easier for you just do it this way. And for words ending with -g like "Tag, Nachmittag, Mittag..." you can also pronounce the g like a soft "k". hope this helps! :)
@@sylviasislian try to pronounce the -er like (ea). Like this you can avoid the difficult letter r and its sound actually pretty much the same. So instead of Mutter try to pronounce it like Muttea.
Wow your expression was okay and well understood but I still find it hard to combine the alphabet to make a word or sentence...pls help me with it...danke
