The way the maltese mama is just relaxing in her owners arms while the Vet is talking, even after touching her as a stranger, she is so calm and relaxed. I find it so adorable.
I had found a little Maltese who was abandoned in the snow and was on heat. People had tried to take her in, but no way. Only when my Rottie passed by she followed him and she could be brought home. I made a warm bed for her in my bedroom, but she wouldn't let me touch her, she was so very frightened. Next morning, I could touch her and was able to feed her. As I thought, being on heat she had very probably been mated by any of the dogs (not strays) in the neighborhood, she grew rounder and rounder. So I prepared for the birth. One night she jumped up on my bed screaming - I took her in my arms and she didn't calm down - I tried to put her in the box I had prepared, but no way, so I put her in her normal bed. She started birthing and a huge baby showed its head in the birth canal. So I made my first effort as a midwife and gently helped the baby exit. It started straight away to whimper and found the milk bank. I thought there would be some others, but no. Mum finally ate the placenta so I knew she wouldn't be having any more puppies. This huge baby grew up to be twice the size of her mum and of course became a new member of the household. My Rottie was so kind to her, played with her as if he was her dad. Luna, the abandoned Maltese, was such a great mum too.

I’ve seen this happen more than once! Any son/daughter who wants a dog, needs to be told by Mom and Dad”only if you have the money to have it neutered!” But in this case, mom n dad didn’t take responsibility either!
They had enough money for a c-section. Not everyone wants their dog neutered. I never did mine, mine has never been pregnant. Easy thing to do when you take very close care of your dogs.

I’m a rescuer and have 3 rescue kitties, a chi I rescued at only 8 weeks and a pittie I rescued from a landfill in Dec (vet says is approx 6 years old) all were neutered and spayed immediately. And any that I adopt out, have to be spayed and neutered first.

Since watching Chris, I no longer like my vet - lol. Chris is the most caring vet I have come across. He always gives an animal a name if it was nameless and if not always asks the owner what its name is (mine just checks on the computer to make sure its name is the same as I say it is !!!). The animals in his clinic are wrapped in warm covers, even on the examining tables, and he even uses the first names of the owners. Mine still calls Mrs ....., even after 21 years. In addition to being kind, he also has a sense of humour which also helps in hours of need.....
Please stop breeding your wife and daughters because it’s not good to give birth and can get complications. Non- human animals are not the only one with these problems you know!
People confuse breeders with puppy mills. I grew up next to a puppy mill and I have an abiding hatred of them. If the breeders are responsible, then I see less of an issue with it.

I do love Bondi Vets they are soo caring and maturing towards animals but honestly I wish they could just tell the people to STOP letting their dogs breed (only if they shouldn’t be breeding) some people just want to have pups for the sake of it or because they find them cute but they never think about the animals feelings
Chris is great with the care of dog n owner. Very tiring long births. I had. German Shepherd lady she had 13 pups 6 girls and 7 boys. I was 19 just married didn’t know squat but helped her through the lot. I had to help release the last three she was exhausted. We didn’t know how many she was going to have. Some were crossed with husky Staffordshire n laboratory. All gorgeous n adorable. Eventually found homes for them. Very tiring feeding the boy n girl groups separately every two hours as mum was scars of all at once. I feed half with formula every second feed alternating. Had to keep her n pups in a playpen.

Don’t yell at me: why are people NOT getting their dogs fixed? Puppies are cute, but, until the dog pounds, and dog rescues are completely empty of dogs, why are people intentionally bringing more dogs into the world? If you have a specific working breed AND have homes lined up BEFORE the dog gets pregnant then that should do: but, accidental or intentional pregnancies, just because, just keep the dog pounds and dog rescues inundated with dogs that could have gone to the homes these puppies went to, but didn’t because of these pregnancies.
This makes me so upset when I was like idk 3 or 4 and I was so rude to my dog pinkies puppies and I wish I could go back and be nicer but pinkie got a thing done where she can’t produce puppies and now I’m sad😢
