@@Ibadullah yep, thats the painful part does help to look at the concept behind the game, and use that in some funky way for a name, both because thats easier and the name actually makes sense examples: Grand Theft Auto - drive around in cars most of the time, doing crime Stride - you do parkour (has to do with walking, sorta) Battlefield - a field of battling Beatsaber - swing lightsabers to a beat Phasmophobia - gather evidence about ghost types, while the ghost wants to kill you or a game i plan to make eventually, "Cypoly" or smth, kinda like cyberpunk but more poly ish
the worst is when you come up with an idea, and go through with making it, only for it to be compared to a better execution of that idea that was done before

Or, (this is a true example of something that happened to me!) you develop a plot, turn it into a script, edit it, rewrite it, and edit it again, waiting one day to, in your free time, publish it only to find that in the time you wait a movie comes out that is extremely similar to your idea. AND the movie that came out isn't half as good as what you wrote! It's maddening.

Well, it depends on what your definition of "original idea" is. If it's broad enough that "Titanic" and "Dunkirk" are the same movie (both are set in the 1910s, both have sinking ships, etc.)... Nothing's going to be original.
