if i wanted to clean out the corrosion, should I let it soak in the solution or just clean it out to the best of my ability with the vinegar? enjoyed the vid!
Ooh yeah that's the Minolta special from what I can gather that is due to the batteries discharging improperly so instead of inputting electricity into the circuit they discharge heat, I'd recommend cleaning off the contacts on the compartment and body of the camera to see where that gets you!
Hi, Someone gave me a Minolta 7000 with a différent compartiment. I put 4 AA batteries on. It works for a few seconds, then nothing. The camera smells weird and the battery compartiment starts heating, even when I put on New batteries. Any idea avoir what is happening please? Thank you
Thank you for reaching out! It sounds like the compartment is overheating due to an electrical short so likely the contacts have some corrosion or the internal systems have some fault so the batteries are offloading their power via heat as opposed to electricity. You could try to clean the contacts of the compartment but outside of that the camera may also just be dead unfortunately
This is your favorite camera and you never covered the cr2016 battery under the metal plate in the battery compartment DUH ! wasted my time watching your video 🤐🤐🤐
found one of this cleaning the house, will use it. Thanks for the turorial

Very helpful thank you
Have you ever had heat build up happen and even slight melting happen when installing brand new batteries?
