We've always gone early in the morning when there's less people driving about. We are in Wales in 2 weeks time for 10 days. Can't wait. We've had to put it off twice now due to the lurgy business. Our satnav is for motorhomes but they're not accurate, even though it has our measurements in. Yeah, it was a nice park up although you're not meant to park there overnight we don't think, but we were too tired to try to find somewhere else. Hope you have a good weekend.

Oh wow. You had some bad luck there didn't you? What sat nav are you using? We use a Garmin Camper which 'should' never take our Motorhomes onto those roads. I also use Google Maps sometimes at the same time, but the Garmin is No.1 because it knows the size and weight of the Motorhome. Really rotten luck though when all that traffic suddenly came that way. At least you can make a cuppa and watch telly while all those car drivers are stuck in a huge non-moving queue and stressing. lol.
We do have a proper satnav, it's just that we saw the sign for the RSPB reserve and thought we could have a pitstop there beens we couldn't stop at Swanage. We do use Google Maps with the proper satnav too as satnavs rely on postcodes and Google takes you to the door 99.9% of the time. Satnav is still dumb though trying to send us down 6 foot 6 roads! We're on our third satnav now as Karl keeps swapping lol. Yeah, least we could chill while the traffic chaos was going on.
@@roaminginraymond This Garmin one that we have actually accepts coordinates too, which takes you to the exact spot rather than just a post code which can cover a large area. Worth it's weight in gold, although it was a bit expensive to be honest. Still glad we've got it now though.
Ours is a Tomtom Truck one but it sends us down some right dodgy roads, like the one we nearly got jammed down in the Lakes lol. Although that could have been the Snooper we had, I'm not sure. Karl doesn't want to change again but he might change his mind at some point.

Home and catching up, we have had those days before but nothing like that one. Try the apps filllpg and AutoGasApp for LPG places. Updated by users they are usually pretty good. Three websites I know show LPG places that have been shut for years these Apps do not show them.
Yeah we used two different websites and then you ring and they don't do it anymore. It was a right nightmare. Thought you might be off again for the weekend and don't blame you lol. Hope you've had better weather than us! We will look up the apps you mentioned so thanks for that.

We go to Swanage regularly in our van, you can park at North Beach car park and the main car park.

We wanted to stop for a while at Corfe Castle but it was too busy on the car park. It was filmed a couple of weeks ago, but the next day was better.😊

You have to buy the specific one for larger vehicles but they're not as accurate as you'd like. Better than nothing though I suppose.🤔
