- A simple and easy to understand guide to Stuart Hall's Representation Theory to help students and teachers doing Media Studies at A-level, or even at GCSE.
I teach the Eduqas exam board now for both Key Stages but this video can be used to help you understand the theory even if you are studying a different exam board.
I am a Media Studies teacher with 10 years experience in the classroom, and so hopefully this all makes sense!
I did A Level Media and am now at university studying film and television. On a recent assessment popped up a question about Stuart Hall, still so thankful for this video 2 years after my A Levels haha!
Thank you, Mrs Fisher! Your explanations have helped my friends & I to understand Stuart Hall's Theory. Sending love all the way from Malaysia !
So grateful for these videos i hate learning by reading and these vidoes have really helped
Great video as always. However, you have mentioned that there are 3 parts to the video but you have only mentioned 2 parts within your explanation....
Very helpful and concise, thank you. God bless!
Thank youuuuu, Mrs Fisher 🫶🏻
Great video. My tutor over complicated it so much
Saving my a levels lol cos i just got told that we are doing the component 2 exam in 2 weeks so i got a lot of cramming to do
Thank you maam, give actually meaning 💖💖💖
You spelt colour wrong at the two minute mark on the subtitles just through i would mention. Fantastic vid
Thanks but the subtitles are automatically generated by You Tube rather than me.
So helpful, thank you!
very well done!
Helped me with my uni essay nice one 😂
very helpful video but at the beginning you said that there are three parts to this theory and you mentioned the first one being stereotypes but what are the other three?
I think it’s stereotypes, hegemonic power then the last I have no idea

love you bubs x

Thank you!
What source does this theory coming from? Where can I find the source on which he speaks on stereotypes? :)

great vid
this teacher is acc a goat
thanks bae x
this is not 2 minutes this has to be aba 30 mionutes
Hi miss
Calm down grandad
This isn’t Lie theory!
the truth in theories are subjective, but the exam board wants you to work as if they're objective fact while you're at a-level
idk about uni, and after uni u can basically do whatever u want as long as u do it well so
i disagree with u calling bs on the theory though, it's so evident in history and currenty sociology that it might as well be objective fact
@@grey8478 I don't even understand what you're saying. I was looking for a video on the representation theory of Lie groups but this wasn't it
