Brings me back. Remember this at Trinity @ Chunnel Club in Vauxhall. Remember one guy mixing 2 copies of it there, with trumpet and sax player (i think), bongo players, place was manic on this tune for over 10 mins, then ended the night with another go of it. Brass really lifted it. One of best nights of my life. Renaissance up in kings Cross played it 3 times the following week. Must have been 1996? One of my fav tunes of all time. Bought it and 3 other 12"s that week. Bought my first set of decks a week later. This tune played a big part, happy days!
it's amazing how you can actually hear chicane's sound even under aliases . same bass line, same BPM and the bass roll. this is, hands down, one of his best creations
Great DJ! Decent enough club too, shame about our licensing hrs tho. Cant enjoy this music in just a couple of hrs, literally. And djs brought over to the POD were well suited to long sets. We missed out there!
I just absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this tune. The 97 Revamp sounds like a completely different tune but its good aswell. I would always play the sonic original on the 12 inch I had.
This is one of my all time faves, I lost this a long time a ago couldn`t even remember what it was called but today is one I will never forget as I will never lose it again,Absolutley Brilliant,Pure magic, On a further note the B side is just as good as the A side, does anybody have it to download, you will not be dissapointed I promise, many thanks
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. I can not thank you enough ALZEE10. This is THE "ONE". Been looking for it for years. "Terry Uncle Tel" brought me here....Thanks a lot bro.
First heard on Graham Gold or Judge Jules's Saturday afternoon/evening shows on Kiss in London back in 1997 - I've always looked on this as an almost perfect tune in every way - every note, every production technique is as good as it gets. My favourite tune from Nick Bracegirdle (Disco Citizens/Chicane).
I used to play this on my Technic 1210s at my place which was across the road from the Rave Venue - Sanctuary Milton Keynes - We had the most amazing after parties - As well as Happy Hardcore events , I actually saw Chicane there - God I wish there was a time machine
lol...yes...i agree...there are a few good tracks on his later stuff..but nothing special...guess it has something to do with time...looking for inspiration in contemporary music and loosing the magic. Its hard to keep up with time...and life in general..to always be new and innovative...he used to be my musical hero!

Nagasaki Badger is probably the best if you ask me, but this one is just as special and a close second if we're talking singles 😁

You know it was a DJ's record when the split second before the first beat is worn
Good spot
