Brain my condolences 😞. If you're able to, perhaps look at doing something down the road that looks after you, sooner than later. Walks outside in nature, camping, shepherd's hut stay somewhere. When I lost my lovely mum, felt like my right arm was cut off, we did everything together. I still struggle today, but found camping and glamping helped with my mental health and with coping, I now even car camp. A change of environment and scenery, head space to cry as loud as you want and then to explore somewhere new at the same time really helps. Stay blessed 🙏🏾 I hope something I said was helpful. Just take tiny steps but don't stay inside staring at 4 walls. It isn't good for you mentally.
Dear Dave. Just found your vlog on christmas eve, having just lost my husband Terry on the 4th December, after 50 + years of marriage. It was too soon, too quick and my heart is broken 💔. What a beautiful, meditative, nature based vlog. Fabulous gentle photography and filming, that's full of hope and inspiration. We were both conservationists and loved nature and the outdoor life. We have a friend who lost his wife to cancer a few years ago and he took on the narrow boat life on the canals around Skipton in the Yorkshire Sales area. I will be taking a look at your older vlogs. Hello Again. I posted earlier and shared the loss of my husband Terry. I've just watched one of your other vlogs - 86 (kingfisher)? Re being brought up in Bridlington. We hail from the East coast too. Every christmas eve we would travel there and have some fish and chips on the harbour. We loved the Winter sea. Love & Light ☺
This was a healing process, I immeadiately started feeling better, more uplifted. In an age of constant performing, timetables and efficiency the notion of freedom, stillness and being tuned with nature and your inner self is becoming more rare - and on the other hand more sought after, too. And the beauty of snow, ah. We have lots and lots in Finland now and it's freezing cold, too. But it's beautiful, especially on the frozen river at sunset. Take care!

It's a joy watching people do what they enjoy. I lost my husband in December 16,2023. We were planning to enjoy are life's together. But that didn't happen. I miss him so much 😢😢😢😢😢
morning dave i love your vlogs and iv finally bought my narrowboat and had my first night on board with the dogs then took them for a morning walk around the marina and theirs some really nice horses and stables next to the marina and just as we were getting back into the boat a flock of about 10 swans flew right over our heads it was early morning and soooooo magical
At one time, in my earlier years, I couldn't live in quite tranquility. Now - in my 70's -- I could live the way you do on a narrowboat in winter. I crave the solitude, the tranquility, the peace and a good cup of coffee. All the best.

We have to live life the best we can, and when that tranquillity and peace and stillness is present, is to embrace it, but accept that one day change may come along with the challenges again. However! Inner peace, tranquillity is always there, and even in our busiest, most chaotic surroundings, it's possible to be at peace. It's just a case of not attaching to your thoughts. I once was a barrow boy in Bridlington. 😃 ahhh the floral pavilion, Yorkshire Bell and 3Bs theatre 🙏

Growing up and spending my whole life living in Texas I love all things winter
I thought you got snow in Texas sometimes. Or am I mistaken?
At one time, in my earlier years, I couldn't live in quite tranquility. Now - in my 70's -- I could live the way you do on a narrowboat in winter. I crave the solitude, the tranquility, the peace and a good cup of coffee. All the best.
🙏 Thank you, Stephen. In this world, it's difficult to live a full life of tranquillity. We have to live life the best we can, and when that tranquillity and peace and stillness is present, is to embrace it, but accept that one day change may come along with the challenges again. However! Inner peace, tranquillity is always there, and even in our busiest, most chaotic surroundings, it's possible to be at peace. It's just a case of not attaching to your thoughts. Dave 🙏
