22:51 You should make a deck for Indris, the Hydrostatic Surge. It actually conjures a lightning bolt with perpetual storm into your library when it ETBs, and draws a card whenever you cast an instant or sorcery. I'm sure there are plenty of shenanigans to be had with it.
I'm putting together an Alania Divergent Storm list, trying to balance the "storm" strategy that other otters like with playing great value by copying big spells. Your gameplay helps clarify the strategy since I definitely want Ral in my 99.
I actually really liked this take on izzet. Storm in paper is absolutely horrible to play with and against, as it leads to one player hogging alot of the play time, in commander at least. So the prowess line is very cool..and of course, Otters!! 😍
I have crafted as much of this as i can and my knock off poor person just won like 7 in a row, you truly are amazing at deck building! also, would you think they would ever make penguins as a creature type?
@@Amazonian also, do you plan to do a lizard commander next? I have not seen it yet and am very interested to see how scary it can be (I myself am not very good at deck building 😂)
I made this deck expecting it to be decent last week, but holy crap it's dirty and nasty. I played no creatures and incidental proliferate to ult him super early. It's a pain lol
@@Amazonian that's how it goes! I def started with some creature synergies then realized if I got Ral down early, before they had an attacker, my otters he creates defended him to an easy ult. Then it was cantrips and direct damage ftw!
No mention in the intro of the storm storm storm card from the new, ugh, Alchemy set? Indris the giant immaterial otter. Yeah, you mentioned him in the video later...
Izzet-related question for you Amy, are you a fan of Thousand-Year Storm? I remember rocking it in the old days of MTGA and was surprised you didn't include it in this spellslinger list. Thinking I might be alone in my love for that card over Arcane Bombardment
