As a fanboy of SWERY this comments section is killing me inside. This game is ridiculous and dumb with lots of clichés, and I love it. Also just so you know usually when the voice acting is bad in dialogue, it's because you made a dialogue choice that is out of character. That's what the sync rate is all about. Please give this game a chance, I think you all would enjoy it.

HardyHoot There was a prompt when he made his first dialogue choice. The game isn't about making the right or wrong choices, it's about making the choices the detective would make if you were in a cheesy sitcom. That's the point of the sync rate whenever it shows up.
That handgun looks like a 1911. The most common 1911 is single action with two safeties, the grip safety engaged when the back of your hand is pushing against the back of the grip, and a hammer intercept safety that stops the hammer before it can hit the firing pin and is disengaged with a lever. In order for the gun to fire you would first chamber a round by racking the slide, if for some reason you decocked the hammer after racking the slide you would have to pull the hammer back, then you would have to flick the safety off and pull the trigger. The one pointed at him does not have the hammer back, and probably doesn't have the safety disengaged, either one of those would stop the gun from firing. In short that firearm pointed at him, would not of fired, but it is still a really stupid idea to point it at someone anyway. Also if that's the gun he got shot with, it's pretty impressive to survive a .45 to the head, but it isn't impossible. It is nowhere near the vital T that would kill him instantly, the T shape your nose and eyes form with the eyes being the top of the T, a shot there would sever the medula and cause instantaneous death. That said the T causes instant death, any bullet to the head probably will kill you, just not as instantly, so once again impressive.
There's gotte be something pretty off with David, because when the door started rattling he said; "Amanda?" And then when he had the flashback to Little Peggy watching TV, she called the cat; 'Amanda'. So this odd catgirl must actually be a cat but we're seeing through his messed up vision?

I'm just throwing out my own theory rut here but how I see it is that the whole time David was just looking for himself, he murdered Little Peggy all along and vision of him shooting her is what actually happened before he actually killed, again, just a theory, I don't actually know what happens

damn cry that sucks to have felt that hope you feel better i remember i had that even though i didn't need the ER it still was probably the worst pain I've been through in my life but only the really bad part lasted like 30 mnts and i had my parents talk to me to help me and then when i could finally sleep then i woke up and felt better but didn't feel like myself the next 2 days but now I'm all good so i just wanted to say were all here to help you in any time of need as we are a community together to not criticize echother or argue but to help echother but not to sound to mushy or anything just wanted to point that out and hope you feel better and hope you can start to feel like yourself! FastFlyerJr Deadly Premonition might be weird as hell but at least it's a game. So far this seems nothing more than a sequence of QTEs with a bunch of achievments thrown at the player so they don't get bored. It might improve later but it's not making the best first impression.

Not sure why everyone goes "it's not really a game" when games like Telltale games in that regard are "not really games". All comes down to its weirdness more than anything I think. The game is probably not a very good Let's Play material but man, it is so nice to play. Lot of crazy stuff, time travelling, insane characters, lot of flying/plane facts and crazy eating sessions with Forrest Kaysen. I can personally recommend the game but I get it - this game is insane ... you know - made by Swery :)

I do hope this gets better. Main character is a walking detective stereotype. Actually the whole thing is one great big stereotype so far. Mysterious fair female that died under suspicious circumstances, goofy partner, tortured detective. I'm all for some classic gumshoe but come on. A little more original content would be nice. Weird catgirls aside.

TheOtherParagon The game was made for Kinect, so that's why the controls seem weird. It's really just a point-and-click adventure when you get down to it, and the controls are perfectly fine for that kind of game.

So many questions and so much to keep up with, within the first 60 minutes or so. The controls are SUUUPER strange to me though, it makes my brain freak out every time. Just one of my weird quirks I guess. And the "wtf" aspect has really been captured on my end, you've god that right! But I'll still give it a chance and watch Cry play it through, if he wants!

damn cry that sucks to have felt that hope you feel better i remember i had that even though i didn't need the ER it still was probably the worst pain I've been through in my life but only the really bad part lasted like 30 mnts and i had my parents talk to me to help me and then when i could finally sleep then i woke up and felt better but didn't feel like myself the next 2 days but now I'm all good so i just wanted to say were all here to help you in any time of need as we are a community together to not criticize echother or argue but to help echother but not to sound to mushy or anything just wanted to point that out and hope you feel better and hope you can start to feel like yourself! XD

FastFlyerJr Deadly Premonition might be weird as hell but at least it's a game. So far this seems nothing more than a sequence of QTEs with a bunch of achievments thrown at the player so they don't get bored. It might improve later but it's not making the best first impression.

Not sure why everyone goes "it's not really a game" when games like Telltale games in that regard are "not really games". All comes down to its weirdness more than anything I think. FastFlyerJr I dont really understand it either. The guys over at Best Friends Play did this game and they loved the hell out of it and the comments seemed to love it aswell..Its an 'interactive story experiance' made by the craziest Japanese guy attempting to write 'straight' stories.

The game is probably not a very good Let's Play material but man, it is so nice to play. Lot of crazy stuff, time travelling, insane characters, lot of flying/plane facts and crazy eating sessions with Forrest Kaysen. I can personally recommend the game but I get it - this game is insane ... you know - made by Swery :)

I do hope this gets better. Main character is a walking detective stereotype. Actually the whole thing is one great big stereotype so far. Mysterious fair female that died under suspicious circumstances, goofy partner, tortured detective. I'm all for some classic gumshoe but come on. A little more original content would be nice. Weird catgirls aside.

The game was made for Kinect, so that's why the controls seem weird. It's really just a point-and-click adventure when you get down to it, and the controls are perfectly fine for that kind of game.
