The putty has to dry for at least 24 hours to be solid, I have use some (not this brand) to repair a broken outdoor light that survived many years and some hefty storms in Florida.
@@ThierryC2373 Yeah I have used stuff just like it as well and its good stuff. Its a pretty simple product, just a two part epoxy in a putty format. Worth having some for emergencies.
I have a Worx brand electric screwdriver that beats both of the ones you showed. It looks similar to a revolver. You pull the slide back and it cycles to the next bit. The chamber is removable. Mine came with two chambers for 12 bits of your choice. Used it thousands of times. I originally bought it because it was on sale, and looked hilarious. Been using it well over 10 years.
Watching professional woodworkers struggle with a hammer makes me happy The double sided tape ... I actually use for cheek risers on my guns ... I had a LPVO on a henry 45/70 and the mount and rings made it to tall so I took yoga foam block put the tape on and it got me in the woods

I remember reading about all the "As Seen on TV" things. Most of them, were actually designed to help disabled or elderly people. But since you can't quite make a product that would solely be used as just an aid to a small number of folks. You have to tart it up and sell it as a gimmick to people stoned out of their minds at 3 in the morning. And that's where some (not all) came from. The Gopher is probably one of the better examples of this.
The air dragon!! I have a similar 12V air pressure that I bought in 2020 because back then li-ion battteries were costly. That thing saved me 3-4 times when I was running with pretty low air pressure. Although dealing with the wires is a pain. I have added a battery-powered tire-inflator now since those have become quite cheap in last couple of years. That thing is quite handy to top up tires. It does not have much stamina since the one time we used it to fill up a SUV tire from 7psi to 30psi, it died at 28psi. Still much more handy than dealing with wires.
The lizard cam isn't bad, but I got an inspection camera on Amazon for $30. It has like a 4in screen, i think 20 foot long camera, adjustable brightness light, and a magnet, mirror, and hook attachments. It was one of the best purchases I've made and gets a ton of use. Even the cheapest one at harbor freight was like 3 times as much.
I have one of those cheap usb/wireless ones that pair to a phone for like $15. Good buy for something you rarely use but when you need it its super handy. It also had the adjustable like and magnet and all that. I kind of want to get one with its own screen like you are talking about, would be nice to have an all in one unit. Though I do like that I can take mine off its battery/wifi thing and plug the usb right into my laptop too for a large screen haha.
I don't have the official Lizard (tm) brand, but I've got a similar one I bought for about the same price. I haven't used it much, but it is really handy for looking into places you can't easily get at, like behind the washing machine or ... I bought a 3 x 5 pad of the sticky tape at the $ store. Used it on my old laptop to hold the wireless mouse. When it lost its sticky, just wash and good to go again. That roll of tape is no where worth that much money.😮
I use similar tape to hold USB hubs to the desk so I don't need two hands to plug/unplug devices. It doesn't leave a residue or rip up the desk when you want to move it.
I actually use the alien tape to hold down rugs on tile and wood flooring to keep them from moving. It's not perfect but it doesn't gum up the flooring under the tape and holds the rugs really well.

I grew up with those Billy mays commercials and always got one of his products for xmas every year. It was mostly a running joke in our family, but some of those things actually came in handy. Used mighty putty to fix a hairline crack in the waterpump on my truck (after a brutal freeze)and it lasted long enough to get me home the next morning. My wife bought one of those auto hammers over 10 years ago , she was so proud of it . I looked at it and laughed, I have only ever used it in a pinch but just as a hammer. I have never used the auto nail part. As for the Alien tape, I use it to hold our rugs in place to the hardwood floor so that our dogs and cat don't slip and slide when they run through the house. Works great for that, haven't tried using it for anything else.

Actually still have them up Canada (at least where I live). They're called Showcase now though and have expanded to the slop the internet pumps out. Which let's be real, IS just the new "As seen on TV"
As a British Unscrewed fan I love that a couple of British infomercials made it in. The Dragon Air one is the most heard infomercial voice in the UK, from a company called JML. They even have TVs in big box stores with "As Seen On TV" stickers next to their products. Also, the double-sided tape one was just a different British accent and not Australian, but the accent John did sound like Steve Irwin 🤣
My gf is a math teacher, the reusable double sided tape is absolutely necessary when she has to change out a half dozen different charts and posters once a week.
Having used several reacher/grabbers in my janitorial days, any that can fold are a big nono. The first fold starts a a self-destruct timer because the wire cable within will only tolerate X amount of fold/unfolds before it snaps. Not to mention they're riveted together so you can't even replace the cable when it snaps.
Ok I live in Minnesota where tire pressure drops in the Winter and its very annoying and cold to get out and fill up a couple pounds on the tires. I’ve been using the Air Dragon for years and I love it! Set in on in my garage in the morning and it does the rest. I also have a cigarette lighter to usb converter so I can use it anywhere! It’s a very useful thing to have, throw in your trunk and forget about until the time you may need it.
The putty in a tube form that you have to knead and mix together reminds me of "Steel-stik" which I have used for Automotive use and other things too...👍😁
I have a Ryobi battery powered tyre inflator very similar to that Dragon Breath thing. I think the reason the handle is so chunky is because that's where the compressor piston in located. Is does make it slightly unwieldy, and having it battery powered is way more convenient, even for vehicle use, especially as there's a Ryobi battery charger that plugs into a 12v vehicle socket, so even if the battery does go flat when you're out and about, you can charge it.
They make a rug magic tape (i think that's the marketing name) that is a double sided reusable tape like what you featured but designed for rugs. Just wash, air dry, and reuse. They work very well for rugs on our ceramic floors throughout the house. Little to no movement and keeps those corners from rolling up and becoming trip hazards.
The heat gun was one star home Depot video. I think having your dog come and pant on what you are trying to heat would work better than that heat gun😂. Live the content. You're the first person I watched for wood working on TH-cam and has gotten me into the hobby. I've made Christmas trees for Christmas as gifts for people so thanks for that
I have an old Craftsman power drill that does the same thing. It holds the bits in its body and you move the bits in and out from behind the jaws. Only issue is you had to have really long bits, but it is awesome.
Man Billy Mays was my childhood, I was actually sad when he passed. His show Pitchmen with Anthony Sullivan was amazing too. I should probably be happy I grew up in his era and needed a parent to buy his stuff or I'd have so much stupid As Seen on TV stuff... XD now I just have a few not as much as I'd gotten back then.
Im a Building Materials Manager and I use the Forearm Forklifts to Move Shed Kits, Prehung Doors, and Windows before. Things are awesome and help the 70+ olds in my department a lot.
I have one of those grabber thingies and use it a lot. Especially when having to get things from shelves head high and higher. Instead of looking for a chair or ladder, I can just grab the grabber. Quicker and easier, saver also!
Back in 2009,We had a leak under the sink, only to find a small crack in the pipe. Bought that putty at Canadian Tire, and it worked! We had to replace the pipe in 2021 before we sold the house, but the putty was still working!
I've used something like the gopher for years both inside my shop and outside in the yard. My issue is stuff falling underneath work benches or tools and trying to grab them without then hitting my head or crawling around on the concrete floor. Also really helpful for picking up scrap pieces of wood when I'm cutting items on the bandsaw and the small cut offs fall someplace awkward to try and reach without shifting half the equipment in the shop around; the joys of working in a pretty small basement shop. We also had one in a pharmacy I worked in because some people were too short to reach the top shelf were some small items were stored and if a taller person wasn't working they had to drag out a step stool, the grabber was originally a joke item that soon became pretty useful.
Honestly, making the head is probably more the solution then the handle. Cause for all the world when they held it up, it just looked like a regular hammer head to me that they used. If they ever do get around to the Bit720 maybe they could figure out a new Auto Hammer. And we can all forget that nailers exist.
I actually got my first gopher after spinal surgery. So it's not for people who don't *want* to bend over and pick things up, rather for those who have trouble doing so.
That's exactly a how a lot of these "As seen on TV" products get made. They're meant to be aids for infirm people who do find stuff normal people can do hard. But since you can't quite make enough money off just that, you gotta tart it up and sell it as a gimmick to stoners at 3 in the morning as well.
Craftsman actually used to make a ratcheting multi bit screwdriver called the "Craftsman Auto Loading Ratcheting Bit Driver". I have one and it its honestly one of my favorite tools to just carry around when doing home projects
Hey, Alien tape is the beez kneez!!! I use it to hang a 2 ft grow light from a window frame...stayed for 2 years, took it down and put it up on another frame...still rockin!
the last item definitely works just depends on the severity of how you use it It helped me, my little brother & my mom’s bf to move both our Fridges, & Washer + drier machines. We had to move & it came in clutch but be careful going up a slope, because then you will have to haul ass
That putty reminds me of the putty I have. It's a reef safe putty used to essentially stick things in an aquarium. Such as keeping coral frags in a better area
Bought a new fridge years ago. Delivery guys used forearm straps. Carried it like it was nothing. Of course they were both build like D Lineman, but still.
The "forearm forklift" is great for carrying bulky items that don't have anything to grab onto. For moving king sized mattresses with no handles they are a godsend. Also for picking up couches or a washer/dryer, or a tall book case.
Honestly remember a good chunk of these from my childhood. I remember my mom got the putty to fix my hair brush and I got super excited (because for some reason as a child I loved as seen on tv stuff) I actually still have that brush and you can see exactly where the putty is because it’s clear
Ive got a "knockoff" bit 360 from craftsman, and it ratchets. Its great. I actually keep it in my car for site visits, and when i pick up stuff off marketplace that needs to be taken apart to fit in the car
I have the Alien Tape. I use it to hold rubber to metal. It works really well. I have an outlet strip I attached to the front legs of my welding table. The rubber covers the top and extends past by two inches. It prevents welding spatter and plasma crap from damaging the outlets. I never tried to hang a shelf with it, but anything that doesn’t extend out like that shelf has worked well. That Lizard Cam is crazy cheap. A normally cheap one of these things costs over $100 and a good one, $250. So the fact this even works at all is surprising.
I bought the Wizard Cam when it first came out, honestly never thought I’d use it, but it looked kinda cool.(only kinda) My wife dropped her wedding ring in between sofa sections of our new sofa, I spent over an hour but couldn’t find it. In comes WIZARD CAM, I found it stuck between the reclining/rolling frame assembly. Saved her $12,000 ring, made my Wife happy, looked like a hero for 30 seconds. It’s definitely worth having around the house for stupid moments like this. My Wife was happy, that alone was worth the price!!!!!!
Toughbuilt made a screwdriver damn near just like the bit 360. I'll be honest, it's actually a good tool. The only thing that would make it better is if there was a storage slot with nothing. I got it on sale at Lowe's a while back. I'm thinking it was like $9.99. the only thing the toughbuilt wasn't ratcheting. At least it was cheaper than the 360
For alien tape, you can buy smaller rolls that are not that brand at Home Depot in the plumbing area. I use it on a regular basis to wrap around connectors that need to be water proofed for my ham radio antennas.
Do you guys remember Billy Mays TV show 2 seasons and the he was gone, what a fire cracker of a man. I am a welder fabricator, love tools and love the fact I can live vicariously through you and not have to waste my money! Thank you PS Alien tape has held my 01 silverado driver mirror on after some dillhole drove passed my parked truck and broke it off for about 4 years now. IT got to be warm, then when cools contracts and holds
OMG I was NOT expecting a JML product to end up on this channel!! The MOMENT I heard that narrators voice I knew EXACTLY what company was supplying/selling that air pump. I hear that voice in almost every single hardware, DIY or "random stuff" store I go in to, belting out his adverts from tiny screens above a POS full of pointless, cheap tat. What a surprise to hear a JML advert in an American video! 😁
Yeah the forearm forklift straps are actually a good product. Allowed me and my wife to haul a heavy piece of furniture to the curb really easily, when I thought it might require 2 guys.
Alien Tape is good stuff. I used it for signs on my garage and it’s held up outside under all weather conditions. It’s also been really good for controlling the wiring for my dash cam in my car. I definitely never tried reusing it though, that seems nuts to me. It comes with more than enough tape, I still have two rolls I haven’t needed.
I'll say this about Mighty Putty, 15+ years ago we put it on a pipe that was leaking in our house. Never had to re-do or replace anything since

Is does make it slightly unwieldy, and having it battery powered is way more convenient, even for vehicle use, especially as there's a Ryobi battery charger that plugs into a 12v vehicle socket, so even if the battery does go flat when you're out and about, you can charge it.
10:10 looks like a Hi-Point 😂
They make a rug magic tape (i think that's the marketing name) that is a double sided reusable tape like what you featured but designed for rugs. Just wash, air dry, and reuse. They work very well for rugs on our ceramic floors throughout the house. Little to no movement and keeps those corners from rolling up and becoming trip hazards.
The heat gun was one star home Depot video. I think having your dog come and pant on what you are trying to heat would work better than that heat gun😂. Live the content. You're the first person I watched for wood working on TH-cam and has gotten me into the hobby. I've made Christmas trees for Christmas as gifts for people so thanks for that
Good stuff. I fixed a hole in the radiator of my old truck, and it was still holding nine years later.
Billy mays still in my head all over again
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE
2:41 Incredible Brand New reference. One of my all time favorite bands. 10/10 John 👍🏼
Morning fellas
Good morning!
It’s 11:48pm. Goodnight. Enjoy your Sunday because in 12 minutes I’ll be enjoying my Monday. :)
@ cheers mate
@@Chillz61 thats so sad to me. Lol
Alright fella
I have an old Craftsman power drill that does the same thing. It holds the bits in its body and you move the bits in and out from behind the jaws. Only issue is you had to have really long bits, but it is awesome.
Man Billy Mays was my childhood, I was actually sad when he passed. His show Pitchmen with Anthony Sullivan was amazing too. I should probably be happy I grew up in his era and needed a parent to buy his stuff or I'd have so much stupid As Seen on TV stuff... XD now I just have a few not as much as I'd gotten back then.
Billy Mays Here... In Your Heart!
Im a Building Materials Manager and I use the Forearm Forklifts to Move Shed Kits, Prehung Doors, and Windows before. Things are awesome and help the 70+ olds in my department a lot.
those straps are a great gift option since it absolutely sucks trying to move heavy awkward objects with just your fingertips
I have one of those grabber thingies and use it a lot. Especially when having to get things from shelves head high and higher. Instead of looking for a chair or ladder, I can just grab the grabber. Quicker and easier, saver also!
Yeah ole Billy, the original tool pimp lol, just yelling at us all wired on coke lol..I was like, no wonder the guy was so excited back then...
Back in 2009,We had a leak under the sink, only to find a small crack in the pipe. Bought that putty at Canadian Tire, and it worked! We had to replace the pipe in 2021 before we sold the house, but the putty was still working!
Really thought this was gonna be Tyler tube's automatic or electric hammer.
The straps are amazing. I've used mine for many years now and they are extremely useful.
wow Tyler getting a shoutout :D
I work in property management and we order appliances regularly. All the appliance delivery folks use these straps. They work great.
That first stuff is just Milliput, i use that shit all the time. IT's fantastic.
For the auto hammer, maybe a fun challenge would be to rebuild it but with better materials
Honestly, making the head is probably more the solution then the handle. Cause for all the world when they held it up, it just looked like a regular hammer head to me that they used. If they ever do get around to the Bit720 maybe they could figure out a new Auto Hammer. And we can all forget that nailers exist.
I got a Bit360 at Ollie's about 15 years ago and immediately replaced all of the bits with Bosch bits and use it all the time
I worked for a moving company when a was younger and those straps work so well.
I actually got my first gopher after spinal surgery. So it's not for people who don't *want* to bend over and pick things up, rather for those who have trouble doing so.
Or short people that can’t reach into their tall kitchen cabinets………just guessing
That's exactly a how a lot of these "As seen on TV" products get made. They're meant to be aids for infirm people who do find stuff normal people can do hard. But since you can't quite make enough money off just that, you gotta tart it up and sell it as a gimmick to stoners at 3 in the morning as well.
I have one on my zero turn to pick up trash while mowing.

Blaming the tool for your inability to hammer a nail into wood doesn’t pass the pub test
Tell me you’re an Aussie without telling me you’re an Aussie
Deeper, Deeper, Insert it DEEPER! did not sound Wrong at all. 🤣🤣🤣
Your British accent, just sounded Really Southern American, not British.
And as a British person, I am higher offended by your accent😂
the last item definitely works
just depends on the severity of how you use it
It helped me, my little brother & my mom’s bf to move both our Fridges, & Washer + drier machines.
We had to move & it came in clutch
but be careful going up a slope, because then you will have to haul ass
It's a ford freaking ranger, one of if not the best vehicle ever made
My son has wrecked 2 of them and still continued to drive them, great daily to work driver
I got a grabber gopher variant. Helps a ton to clean up the kids room. And to get things off the shelf behind my bike. Its nice
At least it was cheaper than the 360
You're a legend for adding that clip of Ron Simmons. DAMN!
I’d guess the heat gun was in the video where you yell at the guys. I loved that one 😂😂
9:05: "I guess it is" 🤣🤣🤣
I remember my dad buying this hammer when it first came out. It actually worked really well, and i think he still has it to this day.
Thank you
PS
Alien tape has held my 01 silverado driver mirror on after some dillhole drove passed my parked truck and broke it off for about 4 years now.
My dad had one of the bit360s for about 10 years. It was great, but after a while, it sometimes gets finicky in loading some of the bits.
I love your tyler tube shout out bro, that was cool man
